9R10 version, horrible fuel economy

Post by 95HarleyBadboy »

HI I have a 2005 Ford f-350 6.0 liter Diesel

I have just replaced the Hpop pump, newer Turbo, newer heads, Arp Head studs, cold air intake, 4" turbo back exhaust. I just installed your new 9R10 tune. While driving down the Hiway at 70 mph I have found that my truck gets a little worse milage than without the tune installed. I can't remeber my last tune I had installed in the tuner from you but I do reemeber on the 100 hp setting my fuel economy was way better than without the tuner.

Any Ideas? I tried to reinstall the 8r10 Version but it will not allow me to???

I was also curious I am having an EGR delete/bypass kit installed in the next couple of weeks. Will this be an issue for the programmer?

Maybe I need a custom tune?

the 100 really isnt designed to give you better fuel economy, its aimed more for performance then anything. But i can hook ya up, send me a copy of your original backup, ill write you a custom with everything requested taken care of.

Thanks alot Don, I should probably wait to get a custom tune until my EGR Delete has been completed???
I was doing some research last night, and the tune that worked best for me so far seemed to be the 8r10

What is the cost to have a custom tune written?
Can I put my truck back to stock, if I use the custome tune?
Is there any way to run the 8R10 version untill I have my EGR delete done?

Thanks

he was gonna "hook ya up" meaning, no charge. You probably cant use 8R10 because your CALID wont be supported

not a problem man, see how that guy does. I gave it alittle more fueling up top and some injector timing since you have arp studs. See how she does and let me know. If we need to tweak it further we will
