I still have a full tank of cheap gas so I haven't applied any tunes on it yet. I have however been playing with the "quick tunes" to reset my transmission adaptives, increase the shift firmness, correct my speedometer (larger rims/tires), and turn off my traction control.
This is what I did after the tool was connected to the vehicle.
Key still off, went to performance, quick tune and went to where I turn traction control off. I turn it off and it says to turn my key off and then on. Am I supposed to wait for the progress bar to finish completely (while it tells me to cycle my ignition key) before I turn the key back on, or am I supposed to turn it off and then back on before the progress bar finishes?
Anyway, my traction control is still on, hasn't changed (even though the tool still says it's off), I can't feel any difference with the increased shift firmness (even though the tool says its been increased) and I'm not sure about the speedo, I guess I can check that against a GPS to see.
Am I doing something wrong or are these changes really that subtle or buggy?

There is no traction control setting, not sure what you are referring to.
If you mean dyno mode, you have to enable it, not disable it....

ok that worked.. The menu was a little confusing. It was labeled "ECM" or TCM or something to that effect (which I interpreted as traction control module). Under that was On and Off. When I first hooked it up to the car and went to that menu, "ON" was already selected so I thought it meant that the TCM was ON (hence traction control turned on), which is why I went to "OFF" and set the tune.
As far as the shift firmness, I still dont feel it when in automatic mode, however if I shift manually (bump shifting the stick left/right), I can definitely tell a difference. Maybe the difference while in automatic mode will be more pronounced when I actually install a tune (still trying to run the cheap gas out of the car first

You'll notice shift firmness much more once you install the tune and it reduces the TM.
