no, I have no idea... I haven't heard anything about the obd stuff at all yet, so I'm sure it will be a while...

dude... I work as a consultant for diablo, as a side/3rd job... to help people and provide support for the products on the 24 different GM forums I'm on... I'm up in CT - 2800 miles away from diablosport, and I have no control or direct visible knowledge of what is being worked on down in FL or when... do I have/get access to certain info that the general public does not because of my relationship with them? absolutely... but when it comes to stuff like this - there is nothing secretive here, I get the same info/answers you do...rdss wrote:Lew, hasn't it kind been a few months already?!lol. difference being that when I tell you guys about a timeline, I know how big the workload really is down there, so I take that into account as well as prior experience... so am I being a little more realistic with my timeframes that I give? probably, heh... but again, I have no direct knowledge if that's actually the case or not... the timeframe could end up being shorter, or it could end up being longer... nothing I can do about it, it is what it is...
these guys are SWAMPED with work down there, tons of stuff to do, and only a certain number of people to do it man... there are prioritized lists, and gotta have patience... it will get done...
and when I say a couple months or whatever, I'm talking from NOW, not starting back from initial release, heh...

I think we all appreciate your position in this as well as your honesty. But I think the concern here is that a lt of customers feel that we have been taken for a ride with DiabloSport once again. We remain loyal customers of their product and have been promised certain functionality and feel like it's all been a ploy to get us to buy these products. Or at very least feel very disrespected by DiabloSport not coming through with their claims.06MonteSS wrote:dude... Would you buy a vehicle with the promise of the manufacturer providing wheels and a radiator at a later date and then just have it sit in the driveway waiting for if or when they ever decide to come trye to their word?
I respect the fact that the folks at DiabloSport may be working very hard and be swamped with work but they have made good money fromm their loyal customers and need to make whatever business minded means possible t come through with their promises of functionality.

I've been a automation programmer for 20 years, if I promise that I will have support for some Allen Bradley legecy hardware, I simply must deliver.. HOWEVER, $T^# happens and when one thing goes wrong.. and the snowball forms it gets worse it is hard to deliver a quality product on time... I can throw a bandaid at it.. fix a couple of things... leave other items untouched... honestly, outside of mission / production critical items, its better to wait, fix ALL issues and update it all at once.
We all have a pretty cool little tuner.. the work load DS has is a big one, all good things we want will come. Just my two cents... been on both ends, they have to pick the most important issues and work down the list...
Now.. Please DS, how about an update DS, please. I'm waiting to have a ton of work done so it can all be done at once...
