k, just do what I told Torrid...

get your average LTFT's at -1, and then leave the PE settings alone at the default 0 settings...

this will give you the desired AFR at WOT and you'll be safe...

06MonteSS, Mike or anyone who would like to comment.

I live in Houston and have my Injector Slope set @ -9, does that seem way out?

ER Value is 12.82 @ WOT and the Minimum is 12.15 in data viewer.

Logged this morning and now my AFR is back up to 3-6 +.. Yesterday was real humid and nasty today its cool and clear..?

Do I need to go even more to the - in slope? Does weather make a huge difference?

Thanks in advance for every reply I may recieve!

no, don't go anymore negative... you'll introduce tranny shifting issues by making it too rich and changing the engine load...

yes, weather makes a difference...

with your slope at -9%, what are your ltft's at on a "normal" day, not a real humid day...

They are up around 3-6 +.

BTW 1-2 shift is really crappy... Will we be able to adjust the tranny on this tuner? I have a DS for my 06 GMC 5.3L and that is the best part, getting the tranny to shift fast and a little firm... Not like my GP soft and very slow, going to smoke this tranny. IMO.

Car was in TAP shift mode forgot to turn TC off and had to peddle it to 40 MPH on first WOT run. TC light did come on.

I had +4 timing and have taken that back to 0

Ran another log slope @ -9 with my spark set to 0.

This would put me @ -12?

Looks a little lean there at .807, but you really can't rely on that. I have my slope set at -9 and I got at -.78/-1.56. Some cars require more adjustment than others.

What elevation are you at? Can you adjust your tranny with the u7191 on the GTO? You do have a GTO right?

Yes, I have a GTO. I have adjustment settings for the transmission, line pressure, shift speed, and shift speed/RPM.

Looking at your AFR, you're way lean at 14.75, you should be in the 12.5-12.8 range. With your LTFTs at .2, I'd take your slope down 3 more points(-12), maybe 4(-13), try to aim for -.78 to -1.56 for your LTFT's at cruise at 55 mph or so. Just follow your ideal range shown in the yellow boxes at the right. Once you get there, you might even be able to advance timing as long as you're not getting KR. I went down to -8 at first on mine and I was getting light KR even with 10% timing pulled with the LTFTs zeroed, bumped to -9 and I was able to set my timing back to 0%.

Oh, I almost forgot, elevation is about 1,100 feet.

Monte says not to go there...???? Mike whatcha think?

no, don't go anymore negative... you'll introduce tranny shifting issues by making it too rich and changing the engine load...
GXP has no Tranny control as of yet... :-(

Anyone know if there is other tuner's that do let us LS4 peeps adjust the tranny??

It should only affect that if you're actually too rich, if the car's computer is adding fuel on its own (positive LT #) I don't see what would cause a problem as you're still lean at 14.75. I'm looking at your charts more, and it looks like it actually says 12.6 for your AFR and I was reading the wrong thing. I don't understand how you're in the proper AFR range and still reading positive values in the LT column, but I can see the program is recommending the same thing I suggested. What is the average KR reading you're getting?

and... are you sure you re-installed the tune after you set the timing back down to 0??? cuz I'm lookin at your log, and you have tons of KR at WOT... 3.5* of KR, yet your spark advance is STILL up to 28.5 to 29 degrees... no way that's the default timing/spark advance setting...

go ahead and adjust your slope down another -3%... and before you install that change, double check your spark advance settings and make sure they're all at 0... then reinstall the tune...

I do have the stock air box but cut the side out that goes out to the drivers side fender with a 4" flex hose into the fender and collector on the end with a AFM screen on it... Still have the stock inlet open behind the head light. other than that that is it... I did take the timing out but i thought it was very strange it was almost exactly the same as the first log... should I go reset the diablo no dod to the original specs and start over? I am going out to the garage to pull the tune up... brb

WOT looks ok except for all of that friggin' KR... what are you using for gas???

you should be using 93 octane Mobil, Exxon, Sunoco, Amoco, or BP... NOT Shell, Citgo, etc etc, or no-name brands...
