Preferably one for the actual date planned for release, and what is going on with it. Here's a suggestion, what about doing a weekly update with the happenings on TCM support. What are some of the issues arising, or roadblocks to getting things done. Maybe it'd keep us alittle more happy/quiet if we knew what was going on and how progress is coming.

Hopefully, our predator have enough extra memory to allow for TCM control, boy that sure would suck that they have it figured out but our handhelds aren't enough to be able to hold everything. Just a thought, we want TCM!

OK, so in the near future for Trinity, what about for Predator? What sort of time frame is "near future", been hearing TCM was coming for well over a year now.

IDK. That is just what I saw on another thread in this forum.... That's why I asked something about that and stuck Mikel in there:)

I must admit that this issue has me on the fence for purchasing right now, given after reading through all the threads about hardware not being able to support new firmware updates. I was going to buy the other day, had cash in hand at the local dealer. I had a second though and decided to come read through DS's own forums. I had be researching in other forums. After reading the posts here about the specific model I needed, I'm really concerned.

1.Why is that other MFR's of handheld programmers state their product has TCM?
2.Is or isn't it possible through any handheld programmer?
3.If it is, I've read through pages and pages here and still have found not one single "viable" reason that it isn't present now, why doesn't this model have it? I've read the "GM keeps changing things" by the way......
4.Also, what about the issue of hardware not being able to accept newer firmware versions based on hardware limitations?
5.If I buy now, what assurances do I have that the model I purchase from a dealer locally will be able to support the firmware that supports TCM when it arrives, whenever that is?

Alot of them do have TCM. They are working on it and I am hopeful they will have it soon. Yes, it is a big thing to have and hopefully they'll come out with it soon. What I'd say is make sure you know what you are getting. I got what i needed for my truck and thought I had TCM support at first when I ordered it (my own fault). I quickly figured out I don't have it and am now patiently waiting for it to be developed... The predator is an excellent product w/o the TCM support. It allows alot of adjustability to tune the programs to your specific vehicle. I'd say it was money well spent even w/o TCM support, and it'll be awesome when they finally do give us the TCM support. Plus you can't forget the guys here on the forum, they are great!

I wonder if TCM will come out before the InTunes? Could that be the reason for the delay?
