You need a helluva lot more then that for a 5.0. They can take out SS's

Kinda figured that When he just stomped all over me after 1 gear. I looked em up. They r stock 404 hp. That's freakn ridiculus. 404 hp no turbo no supercharger. How did they do it ???

412hp for the 5.0. Not really that impressive. AMG makes well over 500 naturally aspirated. Chevy makes 505 naturally aspirated. Chrysler makes 470 no forced induction.

I didn't know amg still built cars. Last I heard was the gremlin. So you think there's a way I can get my 5.3l pushn 400 hp with no turbo/supercharger. I guess there would b if I had enough $$$.

AMC made the Gremlin. AMG makes high end performance Mercedes.

I can make 400hp out of the 5.3 without touching the bottom end. Its not hard at all. Probably cost about $5,000 in parts plus labor to install everything.

Good port job on the heads, and a nasty cam, add an LS6 intake, 400 rwhp all day. it still aint gonna beat a new 5.0 though

Man I feel stupid now. Amg !!! I c y u guys think I'm a dipstik. $5000 is still a little out of my price range but u can bet ima start saving. It is nice to know it would only cost me $5000 to beat a brand new $30k vehicle.

I only paid $14k for the truck with 23k miles on it. So about $19-$20k all togather. I can live with that.
