this is not 5 speed vs 8 speed thing, its simply an issue with our server not creating the correct files for you guys when you request the calibration update from our server, its being fixed now :)

Thanks

Ok, great. Glad to hear you have diagnosed the root cause of the issue. We will await your message that we can retry.

ltwhite wrote:Same here. The post by Suave in this thread about plugging on to a different USB port gets you nowhere. The post theorizing that people tried to tune before tune was released and got calibration error on the PC side just need to go to vehicle and tune is wrong as well. My very first attempt was 5/13, well after the 5/6 tune release and the rumored Friday update.

I know transmission type should not matter on our vehicles (which have a separate TCM), but as best I can tell this calibration error seems to be more prevalent with 5-speeds. I base this on the fact that the only one or two guys who got the tune to work both had 8-speeds.

What is odd about that is the first 3.6L application was Jeep (which obviously was not an 8-speed) so if anything you would think they should have had the 5-speed Charger/Challenger sorted first.
ltwhite, that was just for the one person who was trying to access the intune.exe..... never meant for the tune to start working, just on how to access that particular file bro.

drag/drop this file to the intune drive, let the tool reboot, then go load it to the car, then you can load the tunes :)
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I was able to update my Intune and I can get as far as the final key cycle but then my intune tells me that it was unable to instal the cal update. Then my Intune goes into recovery mode and tries to install it again. Any suggestions?

Don't cycle the key at any point it tells you.

Worked for my 2011 Charger/5-spd as well!

I chose "Diablo Tune" (which I assume is the 93 octane tune) over the 91 octane tune and I set the throttle boost to 18% (max is 20%). Vehicle top speed is now 155 mph (I think it was 115 mph from the factory.

Question: does disabling the traction control (TC) in the DCX turn off more of the electronic stability control (ESC) nannies than punching the TC button on the dash? If so, I'm going to turn it off as well. If not, I'll just keep using the button.

I did not mess with the WOT fuel settings or spark advance settings for now but it's nice to know we have some additional customization we can do to the Diablo Tune. Somebody who lives by a dragstrip is going to have to tweak this out!

good advice, but its only needed on the cal update process, its rarely if ever an issue during tune loading.

Also, using the key instead of the button on Challengers helps as well :)

Yes, disabling TC in the tuner does way more than the dash, as it disables ABS completely, which is what TC uses to control wheelspin, so, yeah, TC/ABS/ESP are totally gone when you disable it through the tool :)

It failed for me when I cycled the key during the Cal update
