I can also say that they are working on this every day. I currently have a working 93 test tune on my truck. They are making up major ground on the issue. I am glad they are working on the long way around and keeping my factory warranty. The bonus is the increased HP gains. Tuning your vehicle has its own risks and getting mad at them for not putting some cheap fix out and ruining a warranty in the process is crazy to me. When they get it working it will be great and everything will be fine. If your unable to drive your vehicle without a tune for a period of time then you got the wrong vehicle.

On a side note. Why even post this garbage? trying to solicit people to another company on diablosports forum? get out of here with that Stupidity.

Someone needs to delete that post. This is a help forum thread.

dave: if you noticed i deleted all of your other threads and posts except this one. I mentioned that this thread is for the peddle issue. going around and creating multiple threads to throw a temper tantrum does not do anyone any good. it also fills the forum so other people that have other issues cant see or find their threads. we ARE working on a fix. and it is going to be the PROPER fix. not a half ass one. this is/was NOT a simple problem. this was a curve ball of the likes i have never seen. there are several people with several hours into fixing this but we are in the home stretch.

Just to be clear I'm mostly annoyed that when you purchase the tuner there was no disclaimer that said there are issues with 2015 F150's its only until it does not work you find out. And I'm sure you will give the answer some 2015 F150's. Can you substantiate this claim with data? How many 2015 F150's are not experiencing dead pedal VS that are?

The solution has also been "close" for over 3 months now so close really does mean nothing.

Also "Tuning your vehicle has its own risks and getting mad at them for not putting some cheap fix out and ruining a warranty in the process is crazy to me." They have put out many different tunes "cheap fixes" while testing on the general public. So nothing new here.

I did not solicit people with another company just some solutions to there problems.

The bottom line is products should work as advertised, if not a solution should come in days not months or years!

while clearly i do not have sales figures for the company. i can tell you we support 10 different cal ids' and only 1 of them is effected. so basically one tenth of all 15 ecoboosts. but not all of those cal ids are effected either. so my best guess is roughly 5-8% of 3.5 ecoboost trucks.

and i have already exlained this. this problem CANNOT and could NEVER be fixed in a few days. this is not a simple problem. this is a VERY complex issue and it took us a while to even figure out what was happening in the first place.

I have a 2014 ecoboost F150 and tried installing a tune today with the i2020. First issue (posted in another thread) was that I select the 87 octane tune and when it goes to write the tune to the vehicle it says "93 octane" on the bottom of the screen. It says that it's successful and I'm not sure if it loaded the 87 octane tune or the 93 octane tune. If I selected 87 why would it load a 93? I went back to stock and retried and it did the same thing. I want to make sure I'm not driving a 93 tune with 87 gas.

Second issue I got was the dead pedal. Started up just fine and went to hit the gas and nothing. The truck just chugged along at maybe 3 miles per hour until I stopped and went back to stock. Tried loading the 87 tune again, the i2020 said that it was loading the 93 tune, then said complete. Drive just fine after that but I have a few concerns/questions:

- Why did I get a dead pedal on my 2014? (thought that was just a 2015 issue)
- Why is it showing that it's loading a 93 tune when I've selected 87 several times?
- How can I tell what tune is currently loaded in my truck?

This is brilliant! Matt I thought It was only 2015's! Ha. Was not asking for sales figures that would not tell you anything your database of users would tell you.

To be honest most people would not be angry with the dead pedal issue if you were a little more honest and sorry for misleading them. I would not even bother to respond to this as your responses are pointless as you know you are selling a product with a known issue.

Sorry to the other users of this forum I'm just angry and having a rant!!!!!

Enjoy waiting for the solution.

Dave, do you understand that nothing is perfect? There is thousands of lines of code involved with what they are doing? I know for sure they are working on it and for sure they are close. I have had a tune in my truck for over a week with no issues. Rather then ranting and raving for a solution and complaining why don't you try to help. I, like everybody else, paid 600.00 for my trinity, but I also work for Ford, in a dealership, in the service department, so I know first hand why they are having the problems that they are having because there are 10 different calids that are in these trucks and just because 1000 3.5 and 2.7 ecoboost are having this problem does not mean that every single truck has this problem. If you are this mad about a 600 dollar tuner, what are you going to do when your 50k+ truck has a "known issue" or a recall or something wrong that your local dealership does not find the first time or cant duplicate. I am not trying to be a jerk but lighten up a bit. Be part of the solution, not the problem.

I am not familiar with the working of the I2 however I would recommend taking the tune out, redownload the tune from the website and also reselect the vehicle in the tuner. Then try to reinstall the tune. If that doesn't work you might have to call in for specific help.

Thanks! How would I download tunes from the site? I thought the tunes already existed in the tuner when it showed up.

first restore the truck back to stock. then plug in the i2 to your pc. when it connects. go to the i2 folder and then the update folder. run the updater. it will tell you is it has any. let it do its thing.
reinstall the tune. after you install the tune. plug the tool back into your computer and go to the "tunes" folder. save and post up here your "last tune written". i'll take a look at it.

Will do. Much appreciated! Also something that might be of note on the dead pedal issue. When I tried loading the 87 tune I did select "change tire size" to adjust the speedo for my 35 inch tires. Got the dead pedal on that one. When I reloaded it without changing anything it seemed to run just fine.

we have that issue fixed. just waiting on it to be built.

in the mean time if you post up the last tune written i can send you a custom tune that should fix it.

also post up your "info.xml" file off the i2 folder as well
