I dropped the 08 off last night to my neighbor, and he took it right out for a test drive.

Saw him like 2 hours later, with a HUGE ear to ear grin.
He had been smoking the tires all over the place, spinning the 1-2 shift, and roasting the tires on downshifts.
He was happy to say the least.

Did this beta run include the transmission "tuning"?

Oh thats right, you were there to read out the TCM, right?
That was you sitting at my neighbors house reading out the TCM flash, but apparently you did not read it properly, because the answer to this question is a resounding YES, it did include the TCM flash.

I love the internet.

I am just analyzing the data statistically. The sigma indicates the probability to be quite low. Hard to argue with sigma. ;)

You act like you're the only company that's ever produced a product before. Lot's of companies provde release dates with greater accuracy that +/- 2 years.

SC promised the mileage XS program and then had it out within a few months.

And do they allow you to alter your TCM settings?
Change your timing?
Add or remove fuel?
Change your rev limiter?
Disable MDS?

NO.

Again, apples to oranges here man. This tool will not even fit into the same category as the SC once it is released, much like the U7135 HEMI car tool has completely replaced the SC tool as the tuner of choice in that market.

Thank you Mikel for answering my question (even through the crossfire). I plan on having a shop do some work on my truck here and would like to be able to have them perform a custom tune without using a ECM swap or complete flash. By you letting one of your "trials" out on the street, and removing the "coming soon" ad on the home page, could this be an indication of ----RELEASE--- for sale????
Thanks

I think we all have a pretty good idea on how good the tool will be when it gets released. But myself like others have been counting on this new tool for a while. I did a set of heads and a big cam in anticipation of the release of this tool last Christmas and waited and waited. Then I installed a stroker motor hoping this thing would be out. With no other means of properly tuning my truck it now sits parked.
Now with the removal of the "coming soon" from your front page what do you expect people to do other than ask questions because there is no solid information on a realese date.

OMG. Im getting very excited! Been waiting for a long time. I need to get Diablo, MAP sensor, and 8 larger injectors for my boost. Then ditch the aux injectors and best of all MDS!

Mikel,
Are you able to post any of the dyno results for the 07/08s? I wouldn't need charts, just numbers will work.
