It was apparent yesterday that you answered every other post but mine yesterday just by looking at the time. So what has the team of engineers come up with? Has there been any progress made?
How do you hook up the Predator to a laptop, and do you need some type of custom s/w to log the data?johan wrote:We have not looked at this issue yet, considering our workload and list of priorities this one is not high on the list. It was done this way initially due to size restrictions and the fact that the data viewer software can be used instead.
We will most likely look at this when another update for the U7194 is required(which right now would be header tunes for C6).
But those are the facts and we are currently working on many things and we do have to prioritize our projects.
I personally always use the Predator with my laptop and stream to it while in the car/truck.
Using the same cables you would use to update the tool, you plug the tool into the car and connect it to the PC and open up the dataviewer software.Whiterock1 wrote:How do you hook up the Predator to a laptop, and do you need some type of custom s/w to log the data?johan wrote:We have not looked at this issue yet, considering our workload and list of priorities this one is not high on the list. So i need to spend another thousand or so dollars so my preditor can log data? Why wasn't this brought up when I bought it? Nice customer service admitting this is not a priority. What happened to the bench testing it right now?mikel wrote:Using the same cables you would use to update the tool, you plug the tool into the car and connect it to the PC and open up the dataviewer software.Whiterock1 wrote:How do you hook up the Predator to a laptop, and do you need some type of custom s/w to log the data?johan wrote:We have not looked at this issue yet, considering our workload and list of priorities this one is not high on the list. The software will take remote control of the unit and begin streaming data.
Thanks
Thanx. Will give it a try. Is the data captured? If so, how do I play it back?mikel wrote:Using the same cables you would use to update the tool, you plug the tool into the car and connect it to the PC and open up the dataviewer software.Whiterock1 wrote:How do you hook up the Predator to a laptop, and do you need some type of custom s/w to log the data?johan wrote:We have not looked at this issue yet, considering our workload and list of priorities this one is not high on the list.
