Throwing code P0603 when installed

Just an update: Went out this morning; Started fine, but had that little surge as I was getting up to speed (like I had a little sense). Does not surge at all when I nail it. Also seemed to be louder on the lower end (clicking of the injectors?) Where did all my black smoke go? Not that I'm complaining, just never been able to see much behind me when I floor it.

What do you mean smoke doesn't make it faster ? Next people will be saying that each piece of chrome doesn't add 25 hp. How can that be ?

With no cloud how do you screw with those annoying weedeater motored cars that think they are fast simply because they are loud.

Now just to figure out your surge... About what rpm was this?

I think it was botween 1200 and 1400 rpms, but I would have to get it to repeat to be sure.

Did the same. The surging is between 1500 and 2000 rpms. For the time being I have restored v.9r05 until I can get a little more time to play with it. It still threw the P0603 after install. Reset and seemed OK. will see later this afternoon. Before dealer flash, did not throw code. And does not seem to return after cleared, is this just a "side effect" of tuning?

Can be. Normally it's 0605 but it's different for different vehicles.
Let me know when you have time I'm sure I can fix your surge issue...

OK. Found time to try one more time. As I stated before, I went ahead and restored the truck to v.9r05
The P0603 seems to only be thrown when installing a new tune. It does continue to throw P2290 Injector control pressure too low. the surge seems to be around 1750-2000 rpms when slowly accelerating. Also, The truck develops a strange surge at 55 mph in top gear (I believe I just need to have the tranny flushed to resolve this one) Cal ID: VXAP2A2 Sn: 9000946 2003 Ford Excursion 6.0 If my brain sparks and I can think of anything else, I'll post up.

Would it be possible to make v.9r05 act and perform like v.8r14 ? this tune seemed to work the best.

Seemed like the v.8r14 did, it had no surges, cut-offs, or power loss. Could this surging issue be in fords programming when they flashed it ?
