New beta for unsupported 04 and 08, tune changes as well

you can start out cheap and get just the cutout tubes (they have plates to bolt up the holes), then get the electic valves later..

As for gears, I did 4.56's when I first started modding. They were great on the street. But the more I modded the more I realized I was running out of gear in the 1/4.....that's the reason I went to 4.10's, and as I modded to where I am now, it feels just as quick outta the hole as the 4.56's...

Fred, that looks like the exact exhaust setup (minus the cutouts), that I put on and the same way I plumbed it too... I'm thinking of the cutouts sometime down the road too.... Lookin good.

Ok so I jus installed the tune, an did a couple wot runs, I never touched the trans params, an everything in pcm params cept spark,added 11% , 0%, and leaned up 4%
And from a dead stop I mash the gas an the low end power seems to be better than the last tune I had, but in first gear an barely into second I had about 6.00 st knk retard at about 2.3k rpm an about 3k dropped to 5.00, 3.5k at 4.50,and 4k, 3.50 an shortly falls to 1.00 after bout 5k rpm, after shift all the way up to 80 mph no more than 1.50 st knk retard.
My question is, why is it so high in first gear? Is it the burn out? Would like some info.
An the 1-2 gear is nice now no pause just strait shift, an a longer tire scratch, I believe johan is on to somthing

Not sure why your kr is so high, crappy fuel maybe, maybe truck needs some more fuel down low.
Yeah i did those changes on a truck here and it seemed to help it quite a bit so i thought i would add that into the regular tunes.

Johan, I recently loaded the DB for the first time last weekend (12/6) on my 08 and everything was accepted fine (stock with exception of cai). Had to do a calibration update only. My question is did the new calids come as part of that download I did and that may be why everything was accepted into my vehicle without problems or just lucky for my particular vehicle? Should I be trying the new crom for more improvements or is that just for the other 08 that had different calids/unsupported ones from mine? So far there has been harder shifts and improved acceleration--all things running/shifting smooth. Very impressed so far with 93 tune/difference.

Yeah you prolly had the older calid's for your 08, these new ones came out like 2-3weeks ago.
You can try the new crom and shift improvements where made the those tunes.
You will probably have to do a calibration update when using the newer crom as we will update you to the latest dodge cal.

I downloaded the file..will this affect the custom tune I have on the truck now? it sounds like the steps to apply the crom file is:

1) Set truck back to stock
2) connect tuner to pc, start ds downloader, send Crom file to tool
3) connect tool to truck and reprogram my custom tune...

sounds right?

If you are using a custom tune this update will only address the key cycle thingy in the 05's .

Johan, I made changes to the tcm parameters (shift points), but I didn't see the tcm load bar (like the pcm shows)... at the end my tuner did show tune loaded successfully but I never saw the tcm portion load up...

The key cycling looks a lot different with this update and will support my 2008 which was the case prior to this beta file. Fred that video is still funny , your such a ham..lol...

Thats odd, did you go back to stock before the update?
The first install did you see the tcm bar during the install?

Right, cause you are over writing the tunes with your custom tune.
If you want, send me your current tune and i can change it.

Yes but i am looking into something here on that, if you want send me your last tune written and your tcm calid and i can hook you up with some custom tunes for now.

Truck runs way better, less than 2000 miles on it . Smokes the tires 17's after a little brake torque. Never did that before. It also runs a lot stronger I can really feel it at part throttle.
