Problems with Pred u7134 and '06 PT GT

Anything, anybody at DS got any other suggestions? I'm starting to feel a wee bit desperate here, having this tool that's only good as a doorstop at the moment.

looks like we will have to wait till jan 2 or jan 5 till we hear from them hang in there bud. trust me once you get it working you will be happy. dmw just got his and he said he is like a lil kid all excited and stuff.

Okay, went through the update again, and got r14 CROM, still no difference.

Tried other steps to insure the Pred is actually seeing my PCM, via monitoring several items in the diagnostics section, and that worked fine, can see live the measurements I selected, rpm, exhaust temp, etc., so at least I know it's talking to the PCM, but it still doesn't get as far as pulling the factory tune from the PCM. same same

Yep, 9r14, tried from 9r10 thru 9r14, none made any difference at all, it does exactly the same thing every single time.

Brought the Pred with me to work, loaded the drivers on my work computer and did the calibration update from my work computer, just to take my pc out of the mix. Same exact results. The predator appears to be the problem, that or it's not recognizing the CalID, even though it reads it fine and logs the measurements fine and passes the diagnostics... I'm still at a total loss. I think I've done everything that anyone could do to try and make this work, but with little help from these forums. I'm not happy, and not a satisfied customer.

Maybe you have a defective handheld. If you've never gotten it to work properly, maybe somebody at Diablosport should get you an RMA number and send you out a new one? Hint hint.

I was hoping they'd come to SOME conclusion with this. Every single thing they've asked me to try has the same results, the same as the first attempt that is. It's never been able to pull the factory tune. So, I'm here and on PTCrew.com reading about all these guys and gals who got the Pred for Xmas, just like I did, and they're all saying how terrific it is, and how much more pep their cars have, and here I sit, with a near $400 bookend!!! With all the communication I had with the guys at DS prior to purchasing, I was really high on this product without ever having tried it, and saying that I'm disappointed would be the understatement of the decade. I don't like investing that kind of $$$ and having it sit here collecting dust.

I'm trying to locate one of these cars around here so I can come up with a fix for you... It works on the bench so it's got to be something else.

hang in there robin, maybe you should contact rage about them getting you another predator and returning that one.
