If Hemifever can fix this why can't the Diablo techs? Is it because Diablo has to do it for all models and it is easier for the CMR guys because they just fix one at a time?
Any progress on this Mike?

What changes did the CMR tune contain that you got from HemiFever? Something we could all try? I just installed an updated tune that Johan sent me last weekend, but I was out of town all week, so I haven't REALLY got a chance to test out the trans much. I will let everyone know what I get from it. I posted a question to him as well, because I would like to know what tweaks are being done as I progress. That way hopefully we can narrow down the issues and find something that improves all the 05 to 06 trucks.

How much do these custom tunes cost?
If Diablo can't figure it out, then I guess I will forced to go that route. I will give them some more time though.

Guys, as soon as Johan is done with the couple things on his plate right now, we are going to spend some more time with the TCM stuff to see if we cant make you all a bit happier.
As for the custom tuning stuff, if there is a tuner that can do it, let him do it!! Some people are very talented at certain things, and I will tell you that understanding these TCMs is not simple at all. If someone is getting good results, thats awesome.

It would be nice to improve the low speed stuff. If you can get it to downshift into 2nd at some reasonable speed at light loads then I won't have to keep manually shifting the thing. That is my big complaint.
I need to stop visiting the forums though because now I am getting real nervous about all of these broken transmissions I am reading about. I am starting to think twice about drag racing the truck. I hope it is only the heavily modified trucks that are killing the tranny's. I am getting some 17's to put low profile drag radials on just for the hell of it to see how it does with lower gears. I hope that isn't a mistake because the wife will KILL me if I break this truck!

...you mean like me Craig...lol... I'm back to runnin my superchips until I can get a salvaged or rebuilt tranny to throw in...my truck acts like a bucking bronco with the ds... I'll have to update to the newest crom(s) (haven't done it in awhile) and try again... as long as I drive normal or granny style, the shifts are just fine...If I drive aggressive, 1-3 gears are fine, when I get to 4th/5th then the gears start huntin and it feels like I hit something hard (scares the heck outta me when it does)... If I drive around with tow/haul all the time it drives pretty good...with sc I don't have to drive with tow/haul on so I think there is something there regarding how sc shifts (or adjusts line pressure)... I'll try updating crom today and test..

...at this point I know my tranny is toast (threw 0700, 0734, 0735 codes a couple weeks ago), but amazingly enough, still driveable, with over 151k miles (on my 05) I got good use out of it even with the hard driving with lotsa 2nd gear prime downshifts..

Johan,
Do you have a tune that addresses the issues I stated in this post about not downshifting to 2nd at low speed light loads?

Sounds good. I currently have MDS enabled and am driving EASY to see if I can get better than 10mpg. It is not looking good so far.
Anyway, I still have half a tank and I want to finish it off with MDS enabled. I will send you my tune after I load one with MDS disabled again.
Where do I get the TCM Calid?
Does this new tune change anything else, like WOT shift firmness or part throttle shift firmness? I am actually pretty satisfied in that department, although it would be nice if it was adjustable so you could make it hit real hard at the track and then soften it a little for every day driving.
Thanks,
Craig
