Torq is ok on the low end but not too good at mid-top range.
I'm not sure what the crom/ updates would do I started with the 9r05 back in Oct 2008. I had a cust tune then that had great torq & pwr on all ranges- ( Could break the rear wheel loose at 80 mpg on wet pave), Then I pulled the tune out and went to the backup for a dealer visit. Then when I loaded the cust. tune back I ran into nothing but trouble with the light. Now I have the same tune but we had to adjust the tire size for the lights . It has gd pwr. but poor torq. exspecially when kicked dwn (passing gear).
Personnally I don't see much difference with the pred tune from the stock- But big difference with the custom tune. -
Do you have delayed throttle response- I had about a 7 sec. delay before the cust. tune now about 2-3 depending on what rpm, speed and gear i'm in.

Just wondering here about these light issues-\
My light issue started after reloading the same cust. tune back into the same truck with no changes made to the truck..
Well no changes that should affect the tire / gear ratio.
1- I added 150lbs into the bed of the truck for winter driving.
2- Rotated the tire (Honestly don't remember resetting the TPM sensors). But this was done in Nov. didn't pull & reload program until late Dec.
I don't think either of these would cause/ affect the light issue but they were the only changes I made- Is it possible for the tpm sensor to affect the ABS system- they do tie the tire position into the ECM?

I have a delay but no where near 7 sec. maybe 3-4 at most. Overall i'm pretty happy with what I have, cant wait to get headers and rework my exhaust though.

Quick Question_ Did going up on the width of your tire size resolve your light problem? I didn't try that with mine.I only adjusted the height, But I did finally get my lights to stay off. Just curious-- I've noticed a difference in the tune i'm running now compared to the one I was running before.
Seems like this Pred. programmer does some weird stuff with the tire sizes...

Sorry i missed your post.
I tried to change height and width to the actual tire size that I have, 285-75-17, and the abs and e brake lights came on. Then Monte suggested that I go back to oem tire size 265-75-17, and all is well.

nice!!

;)

workin on your tune now, NIGHT....

do you run 91 octane gas in your truck, or 93??? if you run 93, I can make you a more aggressive tune by adjusting your timing for part-throttle as well as WOT... but if you only run 91 octane, I'll leave it as is... get on IM and lemme know...

btw, your ltft's are perfect in the new log you sent me too... good deal...

Night,
Setting mine to the oem 245/70/17 works with the pred tune, But then I have to re-adjust with the cust. tune - thats when I ended up with 245/66/17. On the second time around that is. We tried every setting from 245/64/17 through 245/75/17 the only one that didn't kick the lights were 245/66/17 (even tried setting on the height in inches 27.5-31.5) nothing else worked.

08 Silver,
Don't get me wrong I'm happy with what I've got.. I just notice a difference from the tune I was running back in Oct to the one I'm running now. Monte has me pulling great off the line and great pwr.
I lost the kick dwn (passing gear) with the new tire setting. Once I hit cruise speed and then kick it in I have a good pull but low torq. but it don't kick in like the oct. tune did.
Now I could load the oct tune but thenthe lights will come on at 46 miles, So once we got the tune with the ***/66/** setting working I'm afraid to change anything. Not to mention like I said I'm happy with what I've got - I just really liked the oct. tune better.

So.. what exactly has changed between 9R05 and 9R05a? Reason I'm asking is: ..05 (no changes to tire size or anything) works perfectly, ..05a and I get the same ABS issue after a few minutes of driving. (87 tune on each).

Suggestions (other than revert back to 05)?

ib82,
Have you tried setting your actual tire size using the Metric / side wall numbers? I have no idea whats changed with the 05 versus the 05a. I actually have the light issue with both. so My tire sizes are adjusted from ***/70/** down to ***/66/**. .
From what I've heard most have good results just manually loading their tire sizes.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give it a shot today and see where it gets me.

Did setting the original wheel size work? or did you have to adjust the numbers.
Just curious -
