You could use MPH to see what gear you were in.. Log BARO and MAP TO USE so that you can figure your boost. You could get rid of throttle position if you want, as when you go WOT, the MAP pid will show full boost..

Post up a link using a site like deposit files. I wanna see a log..

Ok so last night I pulled out the 93 tune and returned the stock tune.Then I disconnected the negative battery cable to clear the pcm.I then re-installed the 93 tune with all parameters re-set. I think that made a difference. I still hit 20 psi in 4th gear for spike but then it fell to 17 psi. This time it did not peg on 20 psi and it felt like it was running really good. I still hit 6 on the st knock though. Here is the data log.So I gather it is better to re-set the pcm to learn mode before installing this tune.

You have LT knock, so reset the PCM again. Log ACT (acutal charge temp), RPMs, and the rest of the PIDs you just had. What are your outside temps in your area? you may have to drop some timing down throughout the RPM ranges to be safe..

Your spiking about 16lbs in 2nd gear, and then getting TONS of knock. you fall off to about 10lbs or so. What is your spark plug gap?? Your getting knock in every gear too lol.

It was probably around 80 degrees outside when I did this run. I live in a desert area that gets very hot and dry during the summer so I want to make sure overheating is not an issue. Johan, the tune installed is the 93 canned tune with no modifications to it. Clearing the pcm before installing the canned tune got rid of the boost holding at high ranges. I was going to get the fuel tank down to about half a tank and fill it with VP racing gas 101 octane at 7.99 a gallon. So drop the timing but any boost adjustments or fuel(lower boost more fuel)? I think the race gas will get rid of the knock completely but it is very expensive. If I run a little richer won't it only effect my pocket book or are the stock injecters a bottle neck with the canned tune? And the stock boost gauge in the car hit 20 psi and then dropped...Do the numbers on the log show that much boost or is the gauge not accurate? The car has 19,000 miles on it and the plugs are the original. The wires have been replaced due to one was shorting out causing a miss(a rat had chewed thru it). And so what plugs do you suggest I install..ngk iridiums?

You need to drop your plug gap to about .032-.035 and maybe your should just get the 4306 NGKs.. I have the V power ones, not iridiums. Try this first and see. Your gauge is probably wrong in the car, you can get your boost by taking the Map to Use pid and then subtracting the BARO.

Johan may want to tweak your tune, so export your last tune written and post it up here.

I will install it tonight and run a data log tommorow. Thanks johan & sfla for your help. Should I clear the pcm again before installing tune?

you should return to stock, then go inside and upload the tune to the unit. Then go back to your car and put the new tune on. If you want you could reset your PCM. Good luck!

i am having trouble loading the tune onto the predator. I thought it should attatch to the last written tune file. What is the procedure to load it? I thought it took the tune but it said that the ca id was not correct. And now the 93 tune won't load. I think I will have to update firmware to correct.

Open DS downloader. Save Johans file somewhere(I put my tunes in a tune folder) and then go to the advanced tuning tab on the downloader. Click on "Add Tune" and find your tune Johan gave you. If it asks you to load your original, then just find your original file and put it in.

There is a XML parsing error: 'not well-formed(invalid token)' at line 2 that comes up every time I load the file on the list. And then when I pick the last written tune file(the one I gave to Johan it says that they are not compatible file type. When I try any back-up file it states the calibration ID does not match Johan's file. Am I supposed to use a original backup file with it or the 93 octane canned tune file?

Yes, your ORIGINAL backup file.. If you have not taken an original file off the car for your home computer, then do it. When it asks you to backup, use the original file.

When u put a new tune in, It is really important to go stock backup before?
