06 GTO SURGING

Well, I install the tune and got the same results as before. The car ran great until I went WOT, then the surging started again.

When was the last time the MAF was cleaned?

Its been a while since I cleaned that. I will clean it up and see if it makes a difference.

I checked it to see if it was dirty, but it didn't have any dirt in it. I still cleaned it ,but its kinda late so I will try to install the tune again tomorrow and see what happens.

I checked that also while I was cleaning the maf. It only does it when I have install a tune. If I pull over and take the tune out it clears right up.

Latest update: I checked everything for leaks, cleaned the maf, reinstall the tune and got the same results as before. It started out fine, then it started all over again.

Guys, I am not trying to be a pain in the azz. But nobody has any information on how to fix this. The only time I have this problem is when I install the tune and drive at crusing speeds the it starts to miss and surge.

After you do the install but before you run a WOT pass and there is no surging, what are your ltft's? What are your ltft's while the surging is going on?

have you monitored for misfires while driving? find out if you have one (or more) cylinders having issues?

I will monitor it today and see. When I first install it and drive it is ok, but then after about 15 or so, it starts missing. I checked to see if there was any codes, but it didn't have any on the report.

I did a log and these are the number I got. My LTFT bank 1 avg is 5.89797, bank 2 avg is 4.69365. I did notice that doing the missing/surging there were alot of spikes in the graph. The LTFT in bank 1 went up to 8.594 a couple of times and bank 2 went up to 6.250 at times. I think my adjustments should be -7% but please correct me if I am wrong. Tomorrow I am going to check the plugs just to make sure that my problems are not coming from them.

Can you post a log up so the gurus can take a look at it? Somebody might be able to see something that you aren't. Also log your misfires to see if it is a specific cylinder that is missing like Canuck already said.
