Good news gentlemen, Finally the engineers were able to give me a hand and get the transfer process done. I can now finally get my tunes over to a truck which was the big hurdle we were having issues with. We have a much more efficient system in getting it done now so probably either late this week or next week ill get a truck in here and begin the real testing, shouldn't be much longer after this as long as everything goes according to plan.

I get 12mpg, hoping to get better very soon?

I have the exact same issues with my truck as do the guys you intended the update for, so i updated my predator and there is still a big delay in power on the economy tune, and I will say the shifting in extreme tune has softened but is still happening! It just doesnt seem right! I posted my cal id #'s already so maybe if you look at those that will help! thanks

I have had my tuner since feburary and havent used it since the first week i got it when the truck drove rough and got worse mpg than before! these tuners you sell arent cheap, and for this problem to last this long, i mind as well should have burned the money!

Whats up with the trinity, does it have issues also? if not make me a deal i cant refuse, and u can have your predator BACK!

Ill' send you my predator and a $100 for something that works from day 1!

Well?????????????

U7164 on a 2008 f250 crew cab all stock except AFE air cleaner and predator.

Cal ID's
Unit1: 8U7A-14C204-CF
Unit2: 7U7A-14C337-AB

My mileage had steadily decreased after the dealer reflash. It ended up at 11.47mpg on the highway doing 65mph cool/warm weather. I purchased the diablo and climbed up to 16.7mpg at one point. Average is 13-14mpg all freeway driving 68-72 mph. Two weekends ago I took a 700 mile round trip hauling a car on my car hauler and averaged 12.5mpg using the tow tune, the thing is I have 16,000 miles on the truck and have put 10,000 of those miles using the predator in tow tune mode. At the half way point of my trip, the truck sat for two days and when I left to come home, my check engine light came on 7 miles after leaving. I stopped and checked the trouble codes and it came up that my "dpf was running below peak eficiency" then cleared codes and put the tune back to stock. The second time the check engine light came on I just said screw it and drove the 350 miles home with the light on. The light went off by itself soon after I got home. Just this last weekend I made the same exact trip in tow tune and had the same exact problem with the check engine light only the truck didn't have any load on it, completely empty with tow tune installed!! It gave the same trouble shooting code and I cleared it again (getting the same issue as others with the "failed to clear unit 2") and reinstalled the stock tune. This time I didn't get a check engine light on during the rest of my trip (350miles). I am taking the truck in Wednesday to see what the dealer says.

The funny thing is that when I put the stock tune back in this last trip, the truck got 17.2mpg. This hasen't happened since the truck first rolled off the ford dealership 2 years ago.
Looking forward to getting more from the predator,

Hey guys really not fair to be jumping on dons shit about the wait. If you guys were following the threads , you would know that don kinda got thrown to the wolfs on the 6.4. Don has taken care of the 6.0 guys with some good result. Now he is working on the 6.4. I was really pissed off about the wait, since Brian left to go to hennesy, Diablo didnt have a tuner for
for us. Don has been working his ass off to try to keep everyone happy. I think we should give him a little time.

who knows might be worth the wait.

hoondog, that code your getting is common when installing ANY cold air intake on the new 6.4L diesels. It is a BS trouble code. Just put a piece of tape over it on the dash. It comes up based on the airflow/density that is mis-calculated by the computer with the larger intake tube/housing of the new intake.

Thank you pic haha, yea i deff got thrown to the wolves on this one. Regardless I have the tunes made and ready to go onto a tool, i tested it on a bench ecm and it flashes over fine. I called the gentlemen that has the truck i usually use for testing but he didn't answer so hopefully he will get back to me sometime today and I can get him in here ASAP. So its all about when I can get a truck in here for testing. Don't worry guys I will do my best to make sure they are worth your wait!

Thanks concoursd, wouldn't have guessed that the intake would have given a code on the DPF. Guess that's why I am a old school muscle car guy!!! Enjoy brother,

Look i understand he has been working hard for us, im not blaming him solely, but every company is a team whether they like it or not, i blame them as a company, they should be more ontop of these things, hense it is what they specialize in right?

Im sure the rest of you are as frustrated as i am, $400 and 6 months later, my tuner is sitting in the truck never used! :(:(:(

I just hope they figure it out soon or I am on to another kind of tuner! and mine is for sale!

I agree with both you guys. I'm cheering for Don, but booing Diablosport for a severe lack of communication. I got a feeling Don's the man (don't let us down)...lol

I've got really good news guys!

I just tested a truck, on the extreme tune it ran like shit and was averaging 6.4mpg constantly going into regen mode. I got it out of regen and got 7.5mpg on a short drive. I loaded in a new extreme and reset and took it for a drive...no studder, no bad trans shifting and driving around town i was getting average 15.4mpg. However this was only on a 1/2 drive. Im gunna let the guy keep me up to date on it while he drive it around. Power was great at wot, could probably use a few tweaks here and there. I'm confident in this tune, and i have the other tunes done as well. Hopefully they will put out the numbers i want and then you guys will be set!

I know this goes with out saying don, but hopefully that 15.4mpg was hand calculated and not using the dash readout. The dash readouts always go crazy with tuning installed.
