then it sounds like you are not using a high enough octane gas with the performance tune...
the gas you are using with the performance tune is too low of an octane, and the timing/spark advance in the performance tune is too high for it...
you either need to use a higher octane gas in your truck, or use the lower octane tune.

Just an update that I am still looking at this. I decided to try fuel from a different station. I found out that the 93 octane BP is 10% ethanol even though its not displayed below the octane sticker on the pump. They recently added the 10% stickers to the pumps and now I'm concerned its the fuel. I am trying to run this tank down and am searching for a 92 octane pure gas to put in.
I'll post more logs once i am sure I have run the fuel out and have filled up with something different to review before i make any changes.

WELL..???? i am curious how its going as i as experienceing the exact same sounds....and yes..it is k.r. plain and simply too much timing advance on the performance tune. in my non expert opinion,

I have a U7194 on order for my 07 Denali so I am interested too.
Can't you just modify the current tune to back off the timing a degree or 2?
