I've been thinking about doing this since I got my beta Trinity about a year ago. I don't move very quickly either. :)

Any new info on the InTune?

In 2008 the specs were going to be:

- Powered by dual 32 bit CPUs and contains over 1GB of internal memory
- One part number for all applications
- OEM level scan tool
- Smaller than the average cell phone
- USB connectivity
- High-Res color touch screen
- Free online updates and tech support for the life of the product
- 2 Analog inputs
- Supports custom tuning
- Data logging

........ But I am sure that things change during development.

I keep waiting for some new info on this thing... Isn't it coming out in less than a month?

I figured there would be a little more talk about it... like any other piece of high end electronic gadgetry. Is there a thread out there that I am overlooking.... or a "coming soon" page?

Otherwise, I guess this isn't the usual geek realm of got-to-have-it techie guys that I am accustom to... :)

Way, way more then a month. BETA testing hasn't even started yet. And we did over a year of BETA on the Trinity.

Then, I am getting conflicting info...

"Intune is planned to be ready in March/April for dcx applications, and maybe GM gas, but not sure yet." - Mike@diablosport (different forum)

Well, lets see what Mike says here. Maybe he meant March/April 2011.

I sure hope you are wrong about March/April 2011. I am sitting on boxes of LT headers, HF cats, and a VR intake... waiting for a handheld tuner before I install them. I don't want to buy the current predator unit now... in fear of the Intune coming out a few weeks later. That would be a real bummer.

cough... someone slip me a beta unit...cough

The Trinity supports your Camaro NOW!!! and the Trinity is a step above what the inTune will be/offer....

Because the Intune will be like $200 cheaper, less bulky, sleeker, and I do not intend to use a wideband O2

what are some of the benifits of the Trinity over the Intune? and vice versa?

Will I be able to watch realtime A/F ratio, LTFT, STFT meters with the Intune?

so then how are you able to log and tune the A/F without a wideband?... if you dont have access to the A/F from the stock O2's?

..like with the predator

sorry, I am new to this (I am an engineer/programmer... not a tuner... yet anyways :))

You can't, you will always need a wideband for A/F. The stock sensors are narrowband.

One advantage of the Trinity is you can buy it now. :) With Predator and Trinity you can monitor LTFT, STFT and many other things real time, it is just more cumbersome with the Predator because for many things you'll need a laptop.

You can't log A/F with the Predator, only the Trinity.

So to log A/F... I need to buy a $200 wideband, a $600 Trinity, and get someone to modify the exhaust to put a new threaded O2 connection in?

uhh... ~$1000.... not for me. The Intune is sounding better by the minute.

So can I tune the car for my Vararam CAI, LT Headers, and HF cats without logging the A/F (with only LTFT and STFT) with the Intune?

and... why cant the narrowband sensors be used to monitor A/F?

I guess you are not getting it...

You will still need a wideband for the inTune, there is nothing on your car that can read A/F, no matter what you plug into it...

So, if you want to see A/F in real time, you will need a bung welded into your exhaust, a WB O2 sensor, a 'box' to convert the signal to AFR, and a way to display that information, be it a gauge or something like a Trinity or inTune that can display analog inputs.
