My Trinity is on the dash, by the pillar, cables routed down the door jamb (behind plastic), neatly coiled and plugged into ODBII directly above gas/brake pedals.

do not wedge/jam/pinch the cables between anything...

if you pinch the cable, there can be issues... had it with mine...

I wedged/jammed the cable between my a-pillar and side of my dash, and then when I went to use the trinity and was driving, all of my dash lights, DIC, etc etc started going all whacky, giving me message on my DIC, guages/lights flipping out...

as soon as I un-wedged/un-pinched the cable, everything worked fine again...

It has nothing to do with where the cables are run, or what type they are. I have tried a lot of different configurations, and it happened with both my beta and production units. It is a problem with the Trinity itself.

I agree, I appreciate all the help but $600.00 to randomly turn on & off features of my vehicle is not what I paid for when I purchased the unit regardless of cable configuration or where the Trinity is mounted. Frankly, it's unexceptable. I basically bought a very expensive predator. It just would have been nice to know before hand. At the very least someone from Diablo Sport could have responded to this thread.

OK, trying really hard not place any undue blame on the Trinity but today I took a call via Uconnect w/o the Trinity plugged in and had no problems. Later, figured I plug the Trinity in just for fun and when I recieved another phone call Uconnect did not pick up the call.

Well, now using the Trinity as a Predator and the Dashawk for display. Very disappointing!

Same problem here, when plugged in, no GPS reception and keyless features only work about 3 feet away. Unplugged, everything works fine.

I have an 05 GTO. I had the same issue. It was very frustrating. I thought the battery in the FOB was dead and changed the battery. That did nothing. So here is what I did. I Put the wire up under the dash and have my trinity with about a 2 inch lead coming out of the dash and I tinted my windows. By putting it right behind the pillar next to the drivers window and stashing the cord in the dash, I was able to reduce the interference enough that MY FOB will work from about 20-50 feet now. Better than 4 feet and hitting it multiple times like I had to do in the past. Hope this helps!!!!

I'm pretty sure its the OBD cable more than the trinity.

A simple test would be to power the Trinity with the USB and see if the emi performance changes.

My fob isn't programmed to my new PCM or I'd test it myself.

Won't have any effect if its not plugged into the car. I've run it in the car with PC power and everything works fine.
