Dude (or dudette don't want to discriminate), I just can't believe that I figured it out. All that time I hadn't downloaded the interface. I thought THAT was the stock tune that got emailed to you. Note to all else that may be as computer non-savy as me.
So, you never said if all my other mods were taken into consideration; were they?
I froze my ars off and swapped out the MAF sensor and the stocker is back in (not a fan though... the Granatelli is the same GM part #, so I imagine the cal in the sensor is different and that's what you can't tune to) TR6 plugs were bought and will be in @ .035 ( I'd rather go .040, but will take advice and do .035). Injectors are expensive and I'll just use the FMU until I get The 42#-ers available to me. Wouldn't the stock fuel pump starve those injectors though?
Later and thanks for all the help and patience.

I set the tune up for your mods listed. I have done quite a few blower trucks and i always gap them at .35 with no issues so you should be fine.
You might need an inline pump for those injectors, fmu will work ok though. Let me know when you get it up and running.

It's warming up now. I did set the gap @ .035. I was told that my speed limiter would be increased to 155 with a supercharger tune. Mine is still only 125 mph, that won't cut it at the track or elsewhere.. OK, time to drive.

Seems ok. There's no knocking, so ofcourse that's a good thing, I see the timing was cut way back. Understood, because I think the compression ratio of this engine is 9.45:1. If my powerdyne is a 6 psig kit, then why is the map sensor reading 15.1 at WOT?
Also, if all of the torque mngmnt options are in the OFF position, then does that mean the tm is not pulling torque from my drivetrain?

Speed is set to 155 in custom tune. The timing should be 16 deg at wot.
The map usually reads atmospheric pressure too, i dont know what unit the 15.1 is, kpa ?
I set the TM up to have about 5% impact on the shifts, from my experience it yields the best shift feel.

ok so even though the max speed is 125 when i try to modify it, it's already at 155 mph? I hope the map isn't psig and 14.7 is already calculated in the 15.1 reading. That would = .5 psi boost. Hence, that would suck. I'll have to get a boost gauge to be sure. I highly doubt if it's 15.1 lbs boost.

Yes, the 155 wont show in the pred, but if you adjusted the max mph in pred it will write it instead of the 155, if thats the case just reset your parameters and reinstall the custom tune.
Yeah i have never used map sensor to read boost, i would get a boost gauge.

Hey johan, I modified quite a few things after installing the custom tune. Like all the shift firmnesses and raised the upshift mph. And what about the tm settings, they all read off, what does that mean. Things I change after installing the custom tune... am I just writing over what you've done, doesn't make sense to me. I thought the custom tune would get me running safely, and then I'd adjust firmness, upshift mph settings (which are much better since I raised them), etc...

Feel free to adjust settings like the tranny parameters, just leave the speed limiters and TM settings alone, as they have been modified in the custom tune.

Thanks

You can adjust anything you want, the TM settings read off because it is the first line in the pred, whatever is highlighted does not display what is set in the predator. The only thing i would leave alone would be your speed limiter since it will set it back down to the max 125 allowed in the predator, other than that you can adjust things until your fingers bleed.
