Plus, its looking like you were right abouty my engine. Got low compression on 2 cylinders. Looking like she busted the ring lands or something similar. Waiting for a borescope from Hong Kong.
Sorry to hear that....
Its okay, shit happens. If you aren't breaking stuff, you aren't trying hard enough.

Yeah, as many issues as you have been developing, that did not change at all with tuning, were pretty good indicators of a mechanical issue...

Yep, it was inevitable. She gave all she had, and had a heart attack in the process. :( Gonna build a low compression 426 and turbo it, I think.
The X5M's are still too expensive for me. I beat on cars, and dropping $70-grand minimum for a used one doesn't seem like a good idea.

I tested the file today.....and it works very well!!!
I like this file better than the 9r28, not only the raised shift point (that are great!) but I kind of felt the car pulling better in the low rpm range (1500-3500 rpm).

The only "strange" thing was that I set the shift point to 6200 & the engine limit to 6300 and it did hit the engine cut before the shift.....not I raised the engine limit to 6500.

One additional opinion (for a future file, Could it be the final release?) is it possible to have a different shift point in drive and in autostick mode (higher)? That way we could have a milder shift in drive and more agressive shift in autostick; also this could make the autostick autoshift go off - setting the engine rpms lower than the autostick shift but lower than the engine.

One additional thing, now that we are still with a test file; is to have the lower shift option @ 6000 inestead of 6200, I'm running bone stock and it starts to get out of juce pulling that high.
Or maybe even better, do a sliding bar with multiple shift points (as with the engine rpm limit) - don't know if it's possible, just an opinion.

I'm trying this file and it isn't working for me at all!

I have a 2008 300C SRT Design (5.7L) with SRT Max cam, performance heads and 6.1L intake. I'm trying to raise the shift points to 6400 rpm and the rev limiter +600 rpm. The shift points have raised above stock but I'm not sure by how much because the rev limiter setting doesn't seem to save. It keeps crapping out around 5800 rpm and the tranny hasn't shifted yet!

Has anyone had any luck raising their shift points to 6200 or 6400 on their 2008 5.7L and if so, how did you do it??

Thanks,

make sure the limiter is raised, and if so, post up last tune written.

Hi Mike, I rechecked the shift points and rev limiter and the tuner shows they are set to 6400 and +600 respectively. The car seems to hit the rev limiter around 5800 tho'. See the last written tune...

Thanks, any help would be appreciated...

hmmm..thats a custom tune, no?

I cant see what it is exactly, but I'm guessing there is something changed in the new canned tunes thats not raised in this tune causing the issue.

Yeah, that's a tune from the guys at Inertia MS.

So what are my options to increasing my rev limiter/shift points?

Thanks alot Mike, great service!

For anyone else with the same issue, while the shift points can be set thru the handheld, the rev limiter must be set thru the tune (even if it looks like you have the ability to set the rev limiter thru the handheld). At least this is the way it is for my 2008 SRT Design (5.7L)...

My car is now pulling hard all the way to 6400 rpm where it shifts nicely! :D

Yes, there were some stock rev limit settings in your tune...
