^^ the joys of being young. the finer things in life elude some people
07 Ram Hemi 5.7 quad cab 4x4 big horn. 3.92 gears, Flowmaster exhaust and more coming.
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: 2011 Dodge Charger 5.7 Hemi LET
Exactly. If I can have fast and still be sitting in luxury, why the hell not? I drive on the street 99.99999% of the time, so what does it matter if I can go through the 1/4 mile .00001 second quicker? I'd rather have a quick luxury car then a stripper thats not much quicker.
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: 2011 Dodge Charger 5.7 Hemi LET
agreed. if i ever buy a car......... doubtful the ctsv is in the top five. probably the cheaper of the 5 believe it or not.

You should have one already whats the hold up. I see them beat at the track all the time. If you think there better go get one.Mike_Levy wrote:And its worth every single penny. Unlocked PCM, significantly more power, more gears in the tranny, way quicker, easier to make even more power, better interior appointments, and perhaps most important, no having to sit in a service area with Neon, Caliber, Avenger and 200/Sebring owners.brandy16 wrote:The CTSV would have cost you another $20,000 or more new.steveed3 wrote:Ok I don't know what I was thinking. I love my Mopar 11 but I would have bought a cts v if I news ahead of time that we couldn't do after market with these cars.
Re: RE: Re: RE: 2011 Dodge Charger 5.7 Hemi LET
The interior your talking about gets you to $75000 real quick on a CTSV and it looks like hell.Mike_Levy wrote:Have you ever been in one? Puts Chrysler to shame, and BMW on notice. French stitched leather dash, real Midnight Sapele wood trim with accent lighting, Piano black center stack, $3400 leather and alcantara Recaro seats, Suede steering wheel and shift knob; its pretty well equipped for a glorified $39k CTS with $30k in performance add-ons.Quickdrop wrote:better interior parts... lol, and ya, cuz id much rather be sitting next to a cobalt owner who is jackin it to the big ss wing he just put on....rightttttttttttttt
I don't know where you go for service, but my dealer shares their Service Department with Hummer and Jaguar (and Fisker once they're released here). Never gonna be a Cobalt owner there.
Re: RE: Re: RE: 2011 Dodge Charger 5.7 Hemi LET
FOR that price it should be.mikel wrote:The new V is one of, if not the, nicest car on the road currently. There, I said it.
I'd sell my brother for one....anyone need a PITA brother?
Re: RE: 2011 Dodge Charger 5.7 Hemi LET
I do have one. Had it since August. And even with every single option and a Special Edition, it only cost me $69k. Sure beats dropping a hundred grand on an M5 or E63.brandy16 wrote:You should have one already whats the hold up. I see them beat at the track all the time. Thats your choice to buy what you like. We all have the same right with out being called names or told were stupid and should have bought some thing else.Mike_Levy wrote:I do have one. He said he should have. We're just agreeing with him and giving very valid reasons why.
Re: RE: Re: RE: 2011 Dodge Charger 5.7 Hemi LET
Looks like the Challenger SRT 392 in stock form is as fast as a CTSV http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTHcq18dwhU and now the 392 http://wheelsonedge.com/video.asp?vid=349Mike_Levy wrote:He said he should have. We're just agreeing with him and giving very valid reasons why.
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: 2011 Dodge Charger 5.7 Hemi LET
Challengers run on average 12.7-12.8. Occasionally an automatic will run 12.3-12.4. Every CTS-V runs 12.3 or better. And the LSA is made to be built up. We can make 1,000hp on a stock bottom end. And you seem to be forgetting, the 392 still can't be tuned, so it can't be modded properly. The V has none of those problems. Its tunable, its built on the venerable Chevy small block so it'll last virtually forever, parts are plentiful, its a 4 door luxury sedan, doesn't trip over itself, and has the record for Quickest Production Sedan around the Nurburgring. Not to mention is the worlds 2nd fastest sedan at 193mph, trailing just the $300,000 Bentley Flying Spur Speed (201mph).
Don't even bother trying to dig stuff up. The CTS-V is out of the LX/LY's league. It plays with the M5, E63, XFR and other $90-100k European luxury cars, not $40k American ones. Its already been named the best American sedan ever by countless publications, and nothing else even comes close. Chrysler needs to worry about Hyundai, not Cadillac.

If I could tune it, I would be in the 11's on the stock tire with just a tune alone. But Dodge has to F-us in the A!!!

Yep, pretty damn good for just an LS7 throttle body and CAI. Im still waiting for the software to tune mine....................just waiting.........annnnnnd waiting. LOL
His stock times are right with mine. My 12.25 to his 12.25, pretty damn cool. Of course hes got the trap speed on me though. My best trap is a 114.59. There are a few more stock 392's running 12.2x's but most AUTO runs will be 12.3's-12.4's IF the driver knows the car. Its not easy getting the 12.2's on the stock tire. If I threw drag radials on I would get 12.1's.......... With a tune only I would be in the 11's but damnit DODGE!!!!!
I wish I could have a little hint to when possibly I can tune my 392........just a little hint......pleeeeeeease.
