On first screen when attempting to change a tune it shows " Backup in tool appear to be corrupt! "
The next screen shows " Not tuning vehicle because of backup ( 4 ) "

If I try to go back to stock tune, it exits to home screen.

Thanks again for the help so far.

Well it looks like i have some bad news for you, considering the situation you are in there is no way i can fix it up remotely.
I just tried this on the bench with your setup, vin and pcm/tcm setup and no issues there.
Sooo, your option would be to go to the dealer and get your pcm reflashed back to stock, there are some updates for it anyway that would be applied, the main one is this one,
"New calibration to reduce potential for A/C compressor failure. Also addresses customer complaint of compressor noise."
Then we would reset the unit for you and update it to the latest (which i also tested) and you should be good to go.

So I need to send my unit back in to you all, & let you work some magic on it ? I think I am interpreting this correctly.

Also, what would cause something like this to happen?

no... you need to get your vehicle reflashed back to stock by your dealer... then you need to call diablo tech support and they can walk you through it over the phone on how to reset the trinity and get the trinity updated to the latest update for it... you don't have to send the trinity anywhere...

Yeah what Lew said, we can reset the unit for you over the phone.
The latest update i tested here on your setup also has trans support so you should like that.

johan wrote:I currently have keiths unit here on my desk, we i got it, it acted as an update had just been applied, do you recall if you updated this unit in the process or before or inbetween tuning your vehicle?
The same goes for the above poster, did you at any point update the unit while you had a backup in it?
I connected the Trinity to my PC and installed every available update before I ever connected it to the truck. There were no other updates installed before I noticed the problem. I may at some point have tried to modify a tune - I do recall making a change to disable the max speed (not sure of the parameters true name) but I don't recall if I saved the tune after the change.

Does this apply to everyone with the problem or just jdswan1966? Mine was reset over the phone once before and now I suspect I will need it reset again to install new updates.

Okay, one more post/question... (I knew it was a bad idea to post two problems in one thread <G>)

Has there been any progress on my shifting problem? There is another thread "2010 GMC Sierra 6.2 with 6-speed allison NEED HELP" that seems to be getting some attention for a shifting problem. Are the problems related?

Thanks again.

Thanks for the support guys. Got the computer reflashed & the Trinity reset & updated. Will get her back installed in the AM & see what she does. Great response & support from the technical staff. I pray that I never have to use y'all again but it is good to know that when needed you will get a fast response. Next step is to get the logging figured out so I can get DIABLEW TUNED!!!!

I do not recall your specific problem, sorry, maybe post a separate thread on it or fill me in on what issue you had.
