That's exactly what I did, as stated in one of my previous messages. Mike Levy just said he has seen the cheap cables fail. You just said I can get a cheap one. Which one is it?

I think hes being facetious. He saying you can spend a little more and buy it from them, or buy the cheap one and get what you pay for.
Personally, I've had the best luck with the Radio Shack one. It never fails, and it's longer then Diablos which for me, working on a laptop, is better.

So in you all's experience when it pops up the download failed, transmission failed message on the computer, and application missing or corrupt message on the dsp it is either a bad download or a bad cable? Just trying to narrow it down as much as possible. I already tried downloading it again and it did the same thing.

I was told rather rudely that if it doesn't load to fill out a RMA and send it in.

Yes, this is a cable or file issue.

Frank tells me, along with the tech sitting next to him, that he was attempting to explain the fix to you, and that you said you would prefer to send the unit in.
We dont come here to be rude to anyone on the phone, unfortunately we do not get the same level of respect in most cases. Nobody does well when the person on the other end of the phone is upset, and those calls rarely end well.
if you need some assistance with it, please take a deep breath and call back, you're not the first person to run into this bug, and we have walked many people through the fix many times with no problems.
Thanks

Is there any chance I'm still getting a bad file, even after downloading it more than once?

Setlijohn as a last resort I went and purchased an expensive gold played serial to USB cable at radio shack and now it works finally.

possibly, if you have a flaky wireless connection, but its not likely. if it is a hardline, I doubt that is the case.

I'm working off of a wireless router. I'm guessing I should probably do the download in the house for a better connection before I take it to the car to upload it(working off the car power for now, no power supply with my ebay cable of course ha ha)
