I sent you a PM.
This thing has been causing me to scratch my head for several months. if this does not work then it has to be something with the FCM or PCM and will have to take it to a stealer ship. or maybe ill sell the car and upgrade. if it is the trinity then i will fill out the RMA and send it in to you Mike
Well, I was going to send Geophrum my Trinity to try out on his car, but then realized I couldn't unmarry mine because I have a blower. Does anyone have a Trinity that could unmarry it long enough to send it to him to test out his car with it.This could really help him narrow down his issue to his tool or his car. If anyone could spare their Trinity for about 10 days or so, it sure would help him out. May Diablo has one lying around they could let you try?
Anyone???
FWIW, you do not have to unmarry it to test this, just use it to monitor, it is only locked for 'flashing'.
I use my married trinity to log/scan lots of vehicles....

So if I am to RMA it, what type of shipping do you guys provide if I overnight it to you? I am starting to wonder if the intune or just a predator would not have been the better choice.. I am not sure I need the unit connected (I am happy with the difference when programmed, which it is not anymore).. Feel free to PM me with options if you would like.
Thanks.

I would not overnight it, as it is going to be here for a bit of time possibly.
Id actually prefer not to rma it, as I have rmad one before with the same issue and we were unable to reproduce it on the 2 06 LX's we have here, so I need to find a vehicle that does it so we can get to the bottom of it...

Well my vehicle does it and apparently 2 others. Like I mentioned I think I will just send it back to the original dealer if they will accept it then. I understand your hesitancy but I paid for something I am unable to use as desired so I will call them tomorrow to find out what my options are. I would like to stay with your product but do not necessarily need the live features so I may look at the predator or even an intune which I can throw in the glove box when needed.

I just spoke to the company I ordered this from and they are going to accept a return on it and credit me back. My question would be aside from the few instances listed on here have you had any other issues with them? As I mentioned I am thinking a intune or a predator. I have seen the Predator seems to work from what I have read, I am wondering if the intune has had any issues seems like a more convienent option, (keep in glove box, etc)...
Thanks!

If you have not sent back your predator yet, try this.
Here is a copy of what I did to correct the problem on mine.
Ok, here is the solution I found:
I had the chance to have access to two 2006 and one 2005 over the week-end. After some investigation, I found that the two 2006 have 4 additional cable in the OBD2 connector compare the 2006 manual shop (pin 1 - 3 - 10 - 13) and 3 to 2005 (pin 1 - 3 - 13).
The two 2006 had the same problem with the trinity but the 2005 was working fine. So I took the additional cable out one by one and found out that the pin #13 (white & blue cable ) is the one that cause the problem.
So unscrew the connector from under the dash, pull it down slightly, remove the blue tab that lock the pin in place on the pin 9 to 16 side (pin are all numbered on the cable.).
Then there is a small plastic tab on the inside of the connector that need to be pushed toward the center of the connector while you pull on the cable from the back.
Once the cable is out, tape it carefully and put everything back in place except this cable. Connect your trinity and enjoy.
This had been tested on a Daytona r/t 2006 and a 300c srt8 2006 and fixes everything.

I have sent it back, but thanks for the info, I am sure it will be helpful to others!
My question now is the Trinity had a 89,91,93 CAI Tune, I only saw a 91 on the intune (along with a CAI and a Diablosport tune). Which of these would I want to run? We have 87,89 and 92 octane here in Washington and want to make sure I choose the right one. I currently do have an aftermarket CAI, and am adding a new exhaust (catback) on Friday.
Thanks in advance!

91 CAI.

Even with the 89 or 92 octane gas? Typically I use 89, not opposed to 92, just not sure if I want the octane higher than the tune or how much "play" in the grades there is...

You can run higher octane then the tune is rated for, but NEVER EVER run lower. Especially with the Hemi. It likes to knock, which will kill the performance (and the engine if it gets too bad).

Thanks for the info Mike! I will load the 91 CAI when I fill-up next with 92. Looking forward to it!

Thank you for the info for the extra pin.. Just and update on my case, I just tested the Trinity on a ford f-350 diesel that is supposed to work si i did a clean refresh of the trinity and loaded the ford information and bam, same issue.. It was just a test on a different vehicle to see if the issue was truly with the car or the device.
I will try and look at the wiring and if i have the #13 wire (white and blue) I will look at the 06 Daytona that my tuner did work on to see if the wiring is different also.
After several months of trying everything this seems like my last resort other than to drive down to Florida and see the nice guys at Diablo to give them the trinity and car to see what is going on for them selves. Nice long and possible fun drive

now lets see if my wife would agree to that LOL
