There are some autostick issues corrected in the Predator.

However, as stated in other threads:
In rev 8r17, with the 07 SRTs, when the autostick is disabled it will not allow vehicle to shift past the commanded gear but it will, however, downshift to a lower gear and shift back up to the commanded gear based on acceleration. We mainly left it there for dyno use.

I did the flash to original then back to the r17. Still the same issue, even at 40 mph. Again, I am using the canned tune-it doesn't disable autostick without user mod.

It's an interesting issue- the acceleration is unreal from stop but this downshift issue is awful- can't make any "killls" at highway speed without manually dropping down a few gears because it wants to stay in the gear it's in.

When I flash back to original, the issue is gone and it drops down perfectly.

I would be glad to help you all resolve this, because I know there are others out there with the same problems. Please let me know what I can do to help.

Unfortunately the 07 SRT8 TCMs are presenting obstacles and as of right now there is nothing we can do to further access the autostick features.

And in stock mode it has no problems, correct?

Christy- thanks. I'm not sure why this is an autostick feature, though. It's when we drive it in AUTOMATIC. I think somewhere there was a miscommunication.

The issue is in all the forums now. Again, when we punch the gas in AUTOMATIC at road or highway speed, the car will not AUTOMATICALLY downshift to the right gear. Most of the time it does not downshift at all. Of course I can shift it down myself.

When in stock mode with Predator tunes removed it will downshift like a beast.

From reading this I think there is a huge communication breakdown relating to terms.

As far as I knew, this is what I thought Autostick relates to.

Having the car in Autostick/Manual mode relates to pressing the gear selector left or right allowing the user to manually change the gears.

Leaving the car in Drive or D is automatic mode. The car drives itself.

With that out of the way, is it possible the program written for both functions on our cars is back to front.

I ask this because when our cars are in Drive or D the cars aren't kicking down as they should, some are also seeing upshifting problems as well.

But when our cars are in Autostick/manual mode it upshifts and downshifts as it would if you left the car in Drive/D. This could also explain why 5th doesn't appear on the dash when selected (in autostick/manual mode), and why the gear display on the dash does not change from the gear it is in to the gear it kicks down (in 4th-plant the foot-kicks down to 2nd gear-4th still shows on the dash) It shouldn't be too much of an issue though because kick down in Autostick/Manual mode never happened on a stock tune. This is a Diable input error.

Does that make sense???

Just a thought and if you read through all prior posts here and on other forums, it definitely looks possible.

I started this thread because when in Automatic (Stick in Drive/D) the car won't downshift right. It would be interesting if this issue was related to the autostick/manual shifting, but I doubt it. Those of us with the Automatic (Stick in Drive/D) non-auto downshift upon WOT issue, have also tried it in autostick/manual- manual downshifting seems to be okay in ours- in fact, it's the only way to get the car down to where it should be when WOT from Automatic (Stick in Drive/D).

DiabloSport- any news on this?

I'm having the same issue with my 07 300 SRT8. It just wants to hold the gear its in and not kick down when its left in D. Haven't tried it using the stick, so I couldn't say for sure if that works or not.
