Re: InTune Gear Ratio Changes?

My apologies for my irritated and aggressive stance on this.

I was just trying to provide my customer with a reliable solution and don't have days or months to spend playing with this... I'm one man trying to do the jobs of three and I have other vehicles to service. I'm over 10 hours in the hole with this issue.

The customer took the truck a few mins ago, and apparently the light is back on while driving down the highway. Funny it was fine on the 30 miles and 6+ road tests I did yesterday.

If you guys can fix this with a different tune, I would be very happy. He doesn't have a computer with internet and lives a great distance away, but would likely be able to find somewhere to plug it in and update.

What do you suggest and how do I get it done?

Load the tune he wants to run, with no tire/gear changes, and then attach a copy of the backup and last tune written here and we'll whip something up.

the files are in the tunes folder on the intune drive.

Again Mike, there are no gear change option menu available in the Intune's menu unless you guys have hidden it in a sub menu elsewhere I have yet to find.

I have a call into the customer to see what and when he wants to do. Obviously I can't do anything with the tuner and truck 60 miles away and him not being a computer guy.

The customer just called me...

He tried to play with the tuning, it never loaded in two hours then his battery was dead. It now say recovering 0% and does nothing.

I was on hold for about a 1/2 hour and can't run my business while on hold with you guys, so I hung up. I have forwarded your tech # to him...maybe somehow we can get this sorted out.

OK, I now have the truck and tuner back in my possession.

When I plug it into the truck or PC, it just says Intune is in recovery mode. While plugged into the PC, it does nothing else.

When plugged into the truck, is runs you through the prompts to recover to the backup program.....then it has the status bar that reads 0% and stops there.....had it plugged in with the key on for the past 40 mins and no progress.

What can I do now?

Update!

The locking up issue was caused by the aftermarket stereo and wiring adapter. Called tech support and they advised me to unplug it. Worked like a champ.

The custom tune you guys built me also fixed the gear ratio for me as well. It has been 5 days since the customer picked up the vehicle and he has yet to call back with a complaint.

Thanks guys!

I know this post is over a year old, but have a very similar problem. I just bought this tuner so I could calibrate my speedo after putting in 4.10s. But I can not find the gear change option either. Let me say that I bought this tuner cause y'alls website says specifically this device will allow the gear ratio calibration. My 2002 sierra 1500 2wd is also throwing abs codes but I know once its calibrated correctly that will disappear. Mikel any suggestions?

I have the same thing going on with a 2003 silverado, I'm a trans guy and swapping rear gears is something I planned on doing several times. I have to have you make a custom tune every time? Is there a problem with the scanner if it is not displaying gear change or axle change in the menu' is the a solution to make the programmer work the way it says it does on the website and on the box? And can I modify your custom tune without it affecting gear ratio, or does your tune just fix my speedo and then I don't have flexibility to change other things?

I am not impressed at all with with the Intune I1000. I bought it with the intention of adjusting the gear ratios for my 2002 Sierra 2wd i recently swapped 4.10s in it and my speedometer is off and I keep getting ABS codes. I have read through the forms and fully updated my device and attempted to find gear ratios in the adjustable parameters but its not there. If you are going to advertise that your product dose something it better do it.

Hi i'm having the same issue as the original poster. Installed 4.56 gears and 35" tires. Speedo is around 20mph to fast and the ABS light is on. There is no option to change the gear ratio on the Intune. What needs to be done??
