Can you unlock VIN lock?

No nothing major, just bolt on stuff. Ok so Predator, plus stock MAF, and a Custome Tune from you guys and Im in good shape. Ok. Well looks like that what Im doing then. Can you still modify the tunes from you guys? Oh and one last question, (sorry) How much of a pain is it to tamper with Torque Management, mine has to go but Im weary about how to do it without messing it up. Thank you for all your help! You made this so much easier!

I'm just a fellow end-user like yourself... I don't wanna get anyone or Diablosport as a company in trouble or mad should I happen to say something wrong yeah, like THAT'S gonna happen!! I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken...


now... yes, the custom tunes can still be modified with the Predator parameter adjustments, just like the included canned tunes.

not sure about adjusting the TM... that is not an end-user adjustable parameter on my model Predator... the diablo tunes in the Predator already have most of it removed so it doesn't get in the way.

yeah, i believe i have u7198, double check if you want, its for a 99 ls1 camaro. i can turn torque management off very easily, 3 parameters to turn off or you can adjust one (upshift torque % i believe)

Nope, someone else who assured me that it was usable and guess what? They don't accept returns!!!! I paid $200 for this one! So I should have just bought a new one. )(*^($*%$*%&%##$^#!!!! AHHHHHHH! I have a freakin paperweight! I should have kept the Hypertech!!

I agree, I wouldn't have bothered except he was willing to part with it for $100. I mean thats not bad. Its scratched up but I'll maybe only use it 5 or 6 times until it get my truck dialed in, then I'm done. Speaking of which, the "custom tunes" you can download off the internet for the predator.....how does that work? I mean I know you have to have the PC kit, but are the tunes from you guys? Other users? My whole worry is that there are no Speed Shops around here and I want to dial my truck in. I have some bolt on stuff that my Hypertech didn't like (Cold Air Intake, Throttle Body Spacer, Performance MAF, exhaust, etc..) and Im hoping this can be done with the Predator and some trial and error. Any thoughts on the best way to pull this off? Thanks again.

Why fool with it? For<$300 you can get a brand new one with warranty!

I know I know. I learned the hard way. I just wanted to save a few bucks. Well the good news is they guy who sold it to me gave me a refund for the cost of getting it reprogrammed so I can at least live with that. So total cost of the programmer is still around $260 (with reprogram and all shipping included). I'll just have to live with no warranty.

Are you sure this tool can be unlocked?
Does it have the 1.03 revision?
Does it say 'factory tune' under options/car tune?

Revision 1.03. Factory tune. Yeah I verified this with tech support but got cut off at 2 minutes to seven (one their end. Seven o'clock being their closing time) right before it was processed and I got the RMA number. I never could get a hold of them after that. So I took the liberty of filling out a RMA last night and I'm waiting for the RMA instructions and address so I can ship it out before I leave work today. So what do I do in the meantime? Should I call back?
