Re: Any Success?
Here is a success story:
I purchased my InTune-DCX for my 2012 Dodge Durango R/T. When it arrived, I updated the tool as per the instructions. After updating the tool, I went to the vehicle, verified the tool could read DTCs, VIN, etc... I then proceeded to write a tune. After making the first attempt, the tool stated that my calibration id was not supported. I went back to the computer, plugged in my tool and guess what, contact Diablosport's tech support for help. So I did, I got a reply from Vas within a day asking for info, I supplied it and after a week (almost 2), a lot of emails and questions, the correct update came out for my vehicle. Vas answered all of my questions in a timely manor and assured me everything would work.
I've successfully modified stock, wrote in the 91 tune with adjusted parameters, wrote the original backup back to the truck and wrote the Diablo Tune(93 octane) with adjusted parameters. I have no issues and no complaints. The road to getting my truck tuned wasn't perfect and it wasn't as bad as some people here have experienced, but I do consider my purchase and tuning a success.
Now, I do know not to change my tire size right now unless I want my ABS light on. Its being worked on and I'm sure it will be fixed so I just don't touch it right now.
So thanks Mike L and Vas for your help! I'm enjoying my new toy!

Sideshow wrote:I have been reading across all the forums that the new DCX has major issues.
Has there been anybody that successfully managed to get it to work out of the box?
How about getting it to work even after tech support?
I'm a total noob to this but as far as i can see its all good.
Unit updated online, program install on winVista was a bit hinky but its working, did some datalogs, (drag and drop files as the downloader doesn't work.) now i just need to learn what i'm looking at on the charts, lol.
I started with the 89 Bama Custom Tune from A/M tried it out, was a bit underwhelmed, put in a tank of 94oct and put the Bama 93 race tune and there IS a difference to the ride. Idle is supersmooth, response is better, the car just feels "happier" and the mpg has increased but too soon to say by how much. Now if they cound just lower the cost of hioctane fuel....
One comment i would make is read the detailed instructions pdf really well before anything else, i guess little things like leaving the car door open make a difference, i screwed a couple of things up along the way but it ended up OK.
