Using the key.

I've noticed that every time it fails to write, the small red light on the left side of the dash never goes out. This light will only come on when the intune is either reading or writing a tune and when it goes through successfully, the red light goes off right at 100%. I immediately know the read/write is going to fail when I see this red light stays on after 100%.

Hopefully this helps. We've had this issue since release and would really like to see it resolved!

I noticed the red light issue as well. It looks like the security light. WHen i see this I know that when I cycle the key back to the on position, there will be NO LIGHTS or Power to the dash...just dead. Then you go into the key cycle loop with an eventual "failed to write tune"

Hopefully this helps the guys here at DS figure out whats going on.

I'm currently having a similar issue on a 2012 Challenger SRT8. It seemed to load the calibration update fine, but got hung at the key cycle and now is unresponsive. Any further attempts to re-load the update are unsuccessful and gives me the "ERROR READING MAP" message.

I do have the security screen up on the radio/nav display asking for a security code now, but I don't know if that is related. I'm hoping I can get this resolved tomorrow so we can give the car back to the customer.

I am having the same issue now I cant get my car to even start! How do I fix this. I have been on hold waiting for tech support for a half hour now!

Hey folks,
I had the same problem with writes failing (see my thread under "Just received my intune dcx") and here's the solution that worked for me. When you get to the part where it asks you to cycle the key, when you turn the key to off, open your door. This kills power to the dash immediately. When you are asked to make the next key cycle, it will work as it is supposed to. My DCX also failed to write the calibration file to update my PCM and screwed the PCM to the point where I had to send it to DS to reflash. They also fixed whatever was wrong with the DCX. Since then (knock on wood) the device has worked fine. Hope this helps!

I successfully installed the 91 tune twice now, but if I try to disable the MDS the tune fails to write (red dash light and no power to the dash during key cycle) then I have to reinstall factory tune etc etc.

Just a heads up to DS so they can work this out. I really bought this tool to shut the MDS off because of the TC failures...

i am having the same issue, i can only write a tune if it is just the diablo tune with zero modifications. if i boost throttle or add fuel. it fail during the key cycle!
