Everything seems to work fine except MDS. I have tried the 91 and 93 tune twice and the MDS is still active. I have HF Cats and Dynomax exhaust that needs resonators. You can definitely hear when the MDS kicks in. More sluggish and definitely in 4 cylinder mode. I even reset all parameters and then just tried to set MDS to off and it still stays on. But the tune itself is great until MDS kicks in.LOL

Here is a copy of the last 93 tune on the charger with MDS set to off. (But stays on)

Well this AM I put the car back to stock. Original backup loaded just fine. Drove around and then disconnected the battery for 30 minutes. I checked the website for updates again and it only transferred two crom files. Images and loader. No others. I loaded the 91 Octane tune back on this time with parameters adjusted after the tune loaded. I adjusted the MDS to disable and throttle response to 18%. Attached file. The MDS stayed on while in Drive not autostick. You can definitely tell on my car. However, when I put it into autostick and started out in 1st through 4th at 40mph no MDS. I then got up to 45 -50mph and put it into 5th and no MDS. This did not work yesterday with the 93 tune as I tried autostick and normal drive and MDS came on with both. Now this may sound dumb, but I use autostick more than D for drive. So most of my driving will be on 8 cylinders and when I go on long trips I can benefit from the 4 cylinder mode. I do not think it is supposed to work like this but I like it. Anyway, any time there are new tunes for a car, no matter what the car, there is a learning curve. I learned this from my 11/12 Mustangs

MDS will never come on when the car is in Autostick. If it really did when you had the tune installed, then something is really jacked up (highly unlikely).

Oh you mean the ECO identifier. That doesnt necessarily mean that it is in 4 cyl mode. It just means that you are driving efficiently. Even with MDS turned off the indicator will still come on. I can tell its going into 4 cyl mode by the sound and the slight jolt it gives when going in and out of MDS.
Were you able to take a look at the tune?[/quote]
I do not mean the eco indicator. If you have the Screen on your guage setup, you should be able to go through the menu options to see if MDS is engaged or not.

MDS comes on in Drive. You can tell when it comes on in my car. I have JBA HF's and dynomax catback and the system is loud. Driving up to 45mph it stays off but then at cruise the MDS kicks in, you can feel and hear the difference when it goes into 4 cylinder mode. It is very noticable. Just the opposite when I use autostick.

Tacamo01 , I just confirmed that the MDS is not shutting off, we will be working on getting this fixed for the next update

Yes in the digital cluster there are two different identifiers, one says ECO and the other is Fuel Saver Mode. Both of which just tell you when your driving efficiently and will stay on even when MDS is turned off. They are not directly related to the MDS.

Let's put this to rest, at least for my Charger! My MDS comes on in Drive and not autostick, which is normal from what I have been told.
I have owned enough muscle cars to tell the difference between 4 cylinder mode and 8 cylinder mode. It is not a subtle thing! It is something you hear and feel. I do not care if the ECO light is on or off!!

lol thanks tacamo,
I understand that the MDS does not activate in autostick, I usually drive like this in order to avoid the MDS. The discussion is about the misconception that most people have, that the ECO/Fuel Saver Mode light does not mean that you are in MDS, it just means you are driving efficiently. Unless there is some other way, there is no identifier that will tell you that you are running in 4 cyl mode other than the exhaust note and the slight jarring when going in and out of MDS.

Yep, and when MDS kicks in, with my exhaust it sounds like someone put 4 high energy vibrators to all four doors. LOL Only way to describe it!

Do you have any sense of when the update will be released? Turning off MDS is a huge part of the reason I just bought a Trinity.
