Sound like the tool wasn't updated then. As the custom tune and the canned tune are the same. That was the idea of me making new firmware for the tool.

Also you'll need to datalog the issues you're having and provide the last tune written so we can look it over.

I completed the update by the instructions. selected original back-up while connected to the car. brought it back inside and updated with ds downloader. reconnected after update finished and waited the hour to read the pcm... then selected tunes........... not sure where it went wrong?

The tune will download off the server now.

Then load the diablo tune for whichever octane you use.

It says calibration SGBN3AA is not supported by ford_can_gas 1t13gb?

I'm sorry for the inconvenience but I had to update this again. So I ask that you restore you car to stock and update with this corm. The 2.3L has two different types of partial throttle control. 1 for auto and 1 for manual The original I had fixed was manual which is why you had issues still. I simply overlooked it with everything else going on, but I got it rebuilt and you won't have to download the backup again. Once you do it it will not have to be redone until the car goes to a dealer and gets updated and the cal changes. Again, sorry for any inconvenience.

This crom applies to anyone with a 2.3L with similar issues.

Done deal.... Uploaded the -gc update and then loaded the premium fuel tune into my car.... It runs phenomenal now..... Great job fellas..... feels like a whole new car now..... Just one question though. I have an airaid cold air intake and axle back exhaust. Would my car benefit any further from a custom tune or is the one I have sufficient enough? Thanx again....

going to have to do some logs for you guys. it is much better than before, but still has a slight stumble at part throttle. seems more prevalent in sport mode and also while manual shifting with the paddles. also does it while cruise is on and i press the + to set a little higher speed...
