Yes the i2 otherwise functioned normally. Its drive popped right up every time its USB was connected and I could access all its folders.
I even removed the driver and let it reinstall and still no connection with DV.

is there a better way to cleanse the win7 machine?
I figured if its drive is popping up normally, it should be good, right? or no?

it should be...

what com port is the i2 on, and can you set it to a lower one?

Also, I am now told that DV does not auto connect when you open it, you need to click the reconnect to tool button in the tool bar to find it.

Also, click yes on the disclaimer and let it sit on main menu, see if that helps.

I'll fiddle with the COM port later this evening.

IIRC the i2 connected just fine on its own with my CMR Win10 pc and the Trinity does too,,usually.

But yes I hit the "Reconnect to tool" icon multiple times but on the Win7 pc DV15 & 16 failed to connect to the i2. It simply states "Searching for Connected device". But DV isn't locked up though. I can still open saved logs on the PC.

ok, try the disclaimer, and let me know.

also, 33017 will be needed for the win10 machine, but 33015 will be fine for anything else.

I'm sure what you mean by "disclaimer"

For what it's worth, DV16 didn't seem to have any issues logging on Win10, but i'll be sure to stay to DV17
