I am fairly new to the tuning world as far as flex fuels go, so please overlook my lack of knowledge. Lol. I do appreciate you working with me though.

E85 changes are made to the 87 octane tune so that it's for both 87/89 octane AND E85..
or the E85 changes can be made to the Diablo Tune - so that the tune would be for 91/93 octane gas AND E85...
so that's why he asked you what octane level..
because if you go somewhere where e85 is not available, you'll be putting in normal gas.. either 87/89 octane or 91/93 octane.. so that's why he needs to know what octane level you want the E85 changes made to.

I gotya, makes sense. Yea the 91/93 flex would be great. Thanks again for filling in the blanks. Wish I was a little more up to date in the world of tuning.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of rear wheel numbers can I expect to see out of this tune?

Awesome! I will get that installed as soon as I get a chance, thanks for everything. Jus to be clear on install, do I download the attachment and the drag and drop into the intune or do I need to place it in a folder?

are those of us with 2011 5.3 Flex fuel engines lucky enough to be able to use this E85 tune?

no.. e85/flex tunes are only on 2014+ trucks..
there are no e85/flex fuel tables available in the 2007-2013 ecm tune files...

I can certainly confirm the LewTunes are worth it! I run 95% E85 every day and having the flexibility to switch to 89 or 93 based on which LewTune I have loaded is great. I dont loose much performance gains by going to regular fuel. Plus he saved my hide when I had my tuner replaced under warranty and the factory tunes were lost. He had them for me!
