2006 Trailblazer EXT Trinity unable to communicate with pcm

Just an update for anyone interested. The motor is installed and I still have the same problem. I did however notice that the TCM does program when I try to restore original tune. But then it errors out the same when trying to write the PCM after. Really wish we could work this issue out. The motor starts and runs but is stuck in 4 cyl mode obviously. Any other suggestions before I box this thing up for a return on Monday?

Right on. As an IT guy I understand the complexity of the issue and difficulty troubleshooting things like this remotely. Thank you for your efforts though.
