cbaker22681 wrote:I cant adjust Torque management either it is empty no matter what tune I use. Can you check mine as well and disable it if it is not already.. Also no matter what settings I use for shift times, pressures, WOT, Partial, etc I cant tell any difference in the shifts. Most posts I have seen say they have a choice when tuning the diablo tune to do a firm shift. My tuner gives me no option when applying the tune for any firm shift.

Any help would be appreciated..

Truck is a 2000 Silverado 4.8L 4spd Auto

Attached are the current tune files. I reinstalled the default diablo tune and only changed the injector slope. So any help with the torque management and other adjustments would be great and very appreciated

shifting problem solved! i restored the stock tune. i wish i could get a refund for this tuner. worst money i have ever spent. if you have a 2004 chevy silverado 2500 crew cab 4x4 with the 4l80e tranny do not by this tuner it will not shift right. im just glad it didnt tear up my tranny.

I can understand your frustration, but we have literally tuned 1000s of trucks just like yours and never seen issues like you reported.

We'd be glad to take a look at the tunes if you post them up, new thread would be a good idea.

Thanks

Mike,
I would like to turn TM off. I have a question. Are you enabling the ability to turn it on and off or giving me my tune with no TM? Ether way I want it turned off if you can. Thanks...mike

there are issues like mine in this forum or at least similar. the tunes are the 87 tune on the i2. i have tried both easy tune and advanced tune. i have changed all the settings in the advanced tune and it didnt help. shift time or quickness, shift pressure, upshift mph vs tp, it doesnt make 1st to 2nd shifts firmer, it does the opposite.

not sure what tunes you want me to post? i have posted tunes already in this thread.

That is disappointing. The truck crawls from a stop till it hits 3000-3500 then It takes off. I thought no TM would help with that. Thanks for checking

the adjustment being discussed here is upshift abuse mode TM, which only affects upshifts at WOT.

Oh, I thought that TM also detuned engine at WOT to send less torque to transmission. While I am impressed with the increased power, once it hits 3K, and improved shifting, I made this purchase primarily to solve the sluggish take off. I thought that a custom tune would be a possibility but now I wander if that would help much either. Thanks again for looking into this.

theres n TM left in your tunes that would be limiting performance down low that I see.
ALot of this is based on the stock torque converter behavior.
