Considering HPTuners themselves (feel free to search their forums if you want, don't feel right posting a link to a competitive product's official forum page) even say "no ETA for Trans tuning" with 8spd, I'd say you are in the same boat with whatever tuner you try, sorry to say.

Nothing to share at the moment, we are very close to releasing support for the EGS53 TCM controller used i the cars and newer Jks, then we'll move to the 8HP stuff.

No, I dont have an ETA, but I can say, once we release it, it will be a free update, you wont ave to pay $200 just to be allowed to tune it plus $XXX more to a tuner for their time developing a tune to load

Now that is excellent to hear

I was very impressed with the free WiFi update, so a TCM tuning upgrade for free is definitely my definition of good value.
