I changed to Hard shift and that seems to match the Stock E85 shifting.

I could not find how to remove the top speed limiter. What menu is that under?
under modify parameters in the advanced menu.
I eventually found it. It was under Rev Limiter which I never looked at since I'm not adjusting the rev limiter! :)
The idle is way, way better with fresh fuel. I did turn the idle rpm up 150rpms and it helps as well.

I found out I had only adjusted the shifting with the stock tune and not the Diablo Tune. I put on the Diablo Tune and the modify parameters for the shifting this morning.
I dont know if its me or not but the stock tune seems to be more powerful and responsive on E85 than the Diablo Tune is. Maybe its all in my head.

I'll drive with the Diablo Tune for a while and get used to it, then switch back to stock and see if I can tell.

Thanks for all the help!

Lannie

PS I will be getting a LewTune someday but that will have to wait a bit.

The Diablo Tune has a terrible problem during take off. If you are driving 20-30 mph and floor it, the truck nose dives like the engine just lost all fuel. Then it kicks in hard. It reminds me of the carburetor days when you had a defective accelerator pump. I switched back to stock and ran E85 and the power was a little less but the shifting is perfect!

How can I use the Diablo Tune with E85 and change the shifting to match the stock shifting with E85? If I can get that, it would be perfect. The shifting in the Diablo Tune seems a little sluggish and slow compared to the stock E85 tune.

I am driving a tank of 89 octane with the 87 Tune and it runs pretty good. The shifting is almost as good as the E85 stock shifting. I like this one so far, but with E85 being 61 cents cheaper I would like to get the Diablo Tune tweaked to shift like I would like it.

With Diablo Tune and E85 I was getting 16.1mpg average with a high of 18.6. I have a lot of hills and traffic to deal with so its hard to tell if I have any gains there but those numbers are normally what I get with E85 so thats cool.

So far with the 87 Tune I'm getting 18.9mpg average with a high of 20.7. I'm liking that.

Just need some help explaining how to tune the shifting and get rid of the nose dive when flooring it.

I switched to E85 on the 87 Tune and it runs pretty great. It does appear to work better tuning with regular fuel in the tank then switching to E85. The only complaint is the slow downshift when giving it gas.

With the stock E85 tune the downshifts are super quick and responsive. What shifting settings can I adjust to speed up the downshift and make it a little more responsive?

Ugh, AC stopped working while waiting on the new condenser to arrive. A few more weeks before the part comes in. Will rough it I guess. :)

I went with the Lewtune and have not regretted it one bit! So much better than the stock tunes,

I had him enable the AFM and I'm getting 20.2Mph average with a high if 22-23 on my daily trips to work. 37 miles one way. So happy with the results.

Pulled a 5x8 Uhaul trailer across country with a tail wind and averaged 19.4Mpg. That was awesome.

I moved back to Iowa (for the love of God why does it have to be a horrible winter the time I move back!!) and now I am averaging 22.3 with peaks of 24-25. Much better quality road surface here in Iowa and more flat runs. In Texas the freeways I was on were more like gravel with tar sprayed over it. lol rough!
