Have tried that a few times already. Pretty sure that's how I lost it to start

Intake folder is gone again too

I dont see how this can happen.
The database is there, if you can see the pid when you play theold logs back, it means the PID exists in the database on your pc.
Have you tried a fresh reinstall of DV?

Data logging 04 duramax

I set up the pids needed to log and did a few runs and between each run I used the esc button to pause the log. I thought that stopping the log with the esc button and returning to the pid menu then resuming the logs that once I was done logging about eight minutes in total of what I wanted to log that it would all be saved but when I got home and hooked it up to the data viewer it only had stored the last run I ran. Do I need to run one long log at a time or is there a way to start and stop the recording?
