OK, it appears you guys have older tools with the smalle rmemory size, which will not hold this crom as it is too big.
We'll either be developing a new crom that fits these tools or a seperate crom for the older tools specifically.

Thanks

Mike, Any way to upgrade the memory?? How about a 'trade up' deal for loyal users like us??

Lastly, is the cz version available? I had tried the dz ver in the past and got a lot of bucking in cruise, under load at around 65.

regards,

We'll work up something to make this work, whether its an upgrade or a different crom.

Thanks

Mike:

It's good (?) to know our Predators are the problem, not the crom. At the risk of sounding negative, any idea of the time frame for the fix for us with older units? I know LOTS of folks been waiting a loooooong time for this, and now it appears you need to start again. :?

Hello!!

Is there anybody in there?

Just nod if you can hear me!

Apologies to Pink Floyd, but I am NOT "Comfortably Numb"!

Hey dsquared, are you doing a manual calc on your mileage or using the onboard computer? I may load up the 100hp dz tune just to stare and compare (I do not have the onboard computer, so I do all my mileage calcs manually). I got 17 on the last tank using a combo of cz 60 and dz 85.

I'll keep you guys updated.

I have the on-board computer, but it LIES!!!!! I do all my mileage by hand, and compare to the overhead lie-o-meter. I am running the 85hp tune right now, but it looks as though it will be just as bad as the 100hp tune. I never had the cz revision, only the dz.

Personally, I got the best mileage using the cz tune. I like the 85 dz tune for daily driving, but mileage is not good. Have you tried the dz60 for mileage. I may even go back to stock!!!! These damn fuel prices are sheit. I like to play, but for commuting in my daily driver, I need some ECONOMY!!!!

Yes, I had the 60hp tune. My Lie-O-Meter said I was getting 19.8 mpg; hand calc is 17.1 mpg. The 100hp with LOM said 21.4 mpg; hand calc was 16.43 mpg. Stock I was getting 17.43 mpg by hand calc; the LOM said 16.6 mpg!! WTF!!!

Anyway, after not being able to upload the new crom, I restored the dz tune, and I am running 85hp right now. I haven't done any calcs, as I haven't yet filled it. But it looks pretty much on par with the 100hp tune. My Lie-O-Meter is reading 20.5, and I don't believe it is close!!

Hey Mike

Jammer:

Not saying they don't care. I just don't think we are a priority.

I just ran the calculations for running 85hp tune:

Miles driven: 321.8
Gallons to fill: 21.905
Mileage: A CRAPPY 14.69mpg!!! :x

Back to the 60hp tune for now. I looked at DP Tuner last week, sent an inquiry order form. Had e-mail response from Jody Tipton within 2 hours. Not only that, I had a follow-up call yesterday!!! Great customer service!!! I am right now trying to justify the ~$400.00 to go this way. Everyone who has one swears by it, and most are averaging 2 - 4 mpg increase!!!

Looks like I'm installing the 60 tune tomorrow. I, also hate to drop $400 on a new tuner, but, that's only 4 tanks of diesel these days. Everything in perspective.

Thanks for the feedback.

Hope Mikel is watching this string, I really would like to see a predator solution.

Jammer:

I don't know where you are at in getting a solution that works, but I'm betting no further along than me!! I can't even get an answer to simple question on (alleged) torque gains.

If you haven't yet checked it out, go to Ford Truck Enthusiasts 1999-2003 7.3 Diesel Forum: http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum31/

You'll learn a lot, and see what I mean about DP Tuner.

I'm ordering mine today.
