We just took a rev-1 predator hardware with 128k memory and the new crom loaded to it with no problems on the first attempt. We know the update works. Its very possible that your predator isn't allocating memory correctly and failing at the boot-loader. This is very hard to troubleshoot when the predator doesn't boot up to give error codes.

Added support for previously unsupported calibrations, fixed adjustable params that were not working (tire/gear), updated many of the tunes, and created a new method of identifying the vehicles to free up some memory for the logging issues.

Thanks
Was there a update on the tune for calid RYAK1Z7 ?.

Yes new tunes for all of the calibrations.

Basically the test that i did Monday was taking the earliest hardware for the U7146 and testing it on the latest crom 9r05. Which it loaded with no problems at all. I used DSDL 1.9.9.6 and it went in like a charm. Now this hardware that i used is the oldest possible revision of hardware that we made for the mustang tool. The 9r05 revision was made to support every type of hardware for the U7146. I would recommend to re-validate the .crom size after downloading it to your PC, as well use the latest DSDL version.

Cole,

I am really happy with 7R50D I have tried some custom tunes that where written for another customer with similar mods and went right back to R50D . With that comparing 7R50D with 9r05 version other than no OBDII menu which doesnt concern me for I have MILS. What are the changes ? can you post dyno sheets with A/F's of both croms?

Thanks

We tested the crom that you posted to the forum and it fails on our predator that we tested with Monday. The .crom file that you have on your machine is corrupt. Please delete it and re download the file from a solid connection. Preferably not wireless.

Those custom tunes can be loaded to the 9r05 predator as well. We cleaned up the tunes from 7r50d. Over time new tricks are learned on these cars and you tend to learn from your past. 87 octane tunes were added to this tool as well. I believe in comparison to the older tunes to the new tunes, they are a little bit more flexible as far as added bolt-on modifications. I know on 7r50d some Bullitt and Mach 1 calibrations had issues with CAI installed on the vehicles. Also a minimum requirement of 91 octane or higher was required.

We will post up the dyno runs shortly.

My calid is for a Mach 1 and like I said the custom tunes where not better than the even after I adjusted both I have a wide band with data logger with play back and smoothing capabilities. I have 94 octane Sunoco Ultra here so 91 tune isnt something I need and can adjust for it if necessary. I have a manual trans so if the adjustments where there it would help me but other would benefit with autos.

Thanks

Yes if this is on the same PC that your downloading the .crom file.. Please re-check to see if you have any anti-virus software or any other type of software that would scan files as they download to your computer. Next test is to test on another Computer to preform the update to your predator.

I just downloaded it from the 7146 support page and it worked! There may be something corrupt in the file posted in this thread.
