Fifth gear should be fine.

each time I level out the ltft, when I go WOT the ltft is not at 0.00. instead im getting -1. If I go back in forth in ltft it will never get to 0.00 under WOT but +1 or -1. What do you think?

Mike, I'm currently considering the U7194 along with the K&N Air Charger. Are you saying here that the standard 93 octane 2007 Z06 tune will not be adequate and/or will not fully take advantage of both the Diablo tune and the K&N Air Charger? I also run 100 octane unleaded Sunoco in this car. Would I need a "custom" tune for this scenario?

No, not saying that at all here.
The PCM will compensate for any additional airflow which the CAI may provide.
This can be seen in the LTFTs as they will go positive (+) meaning the PCM is adding more fuel than is being commanded to keep up with the airflow.

Mike, I hear you and I'm have no doubt that you know what you're talking about but here is where I got confused:

Quote from earlier reply in this post:

I must stress the fact once again that many lat model vehicles will lean out quite a bit when used with a CAI. Apparently, the CAI you are using is leaning you out to the point that the PCM is not letting you make peak power.
I'd be willing to bet that our tune on that car with the stock induction setup makes more power than that CAI alone with the stock tune. The problem is you have two different devices doing the same thing by different means, that is leaning the car out.
If you are going to modify the car to improve airflow, you may need to alter the tune to accomodate it.

I am not saying that the tune cannot compenste for the additional airflow.
The original poster was complaining that he did not think our claims of 25rwhp gains were being achieved in his vehicle.
We have verified these gains on several vehicles, one of which had a similar CAI on it.
I think what he was feeling may have been a lack of throttle response as a result of the fuel trims not being dialed in as a result of the CAI leaning the tune out.
Any serious change in airflow will cause the PCM to add more fuel to keep the commanded A/F ratios, and the best thing about the Predator is its ability to allow you to modify the tune to suit these types of changes.
There is no single perfect tune that will work for every and all combinations, hence we give you the ability to fine tune YOUR combo using the adjustable parameters in the tool.

Assuming one has sense enough to know how to adjust those parameters (which I'm not sure I do!!)

There is an excellent tuning/logging guide sticky at the top of this forum, check it out, it is not tough to accomplish these changes.

The K&N CAI on a 06/07 Z06 can be tuned with the Predator. The MAF on the Z06 only does a partial sample of the air flow through the CAI and the K&N flows more than the stock air intake system. The E38 ecu will learn the LTFT's in about 50 miles of normal driving and show a + number , typically +7 to +12% using a K&N CAI on a stock LS7 engine. You then correct the LTFT's using Injector slope with the Predator per the tunning guide.

Be aware though
The U7194 when connected to a C6, Z06, LS7, E38 ecu only supports 90 seconds of data logging. I advised Diablo on 4/13/2007 of this problem and as of today Diablo has not resolved the problem.
90 seconds of data logging. is to short to do any serious tunning.

Also DataViewer has a problem playing log files when using Vista on a personal computer to view log files.
A am waiting on a resolution from Diablo on this issue to.

wstaab, thanks for the input. NOT very encouraging but since I don't have my unit yet, I haven't experienced the issues you mentioned. Hopefully, Diablo will work/fix the issues.

I do not use PM's.
PM's are abused and the sender can be anyone with a free e-mail account that signs up for the forum and lives vicariously in cyberspace.
E-mails are traceable and I have a permanent record of the communications on my computer.
My e-mail address is public for anyone in my profile.

We are still looking into what can be done with the datalogging issue, but we have not left the issue.
As for Vista, we have had the viewer working on several computers with Vista here. Did you update to Vista or was it a new computer with Vista already installed?

Thanks
