I'm aware of the proper way, I work with computers all day long. The proper way doesn't work.johnc wrote:The proper way to open the files is to start up the DataViewer and then use Open Log from the File menu OR click on the first icon on the toolbar.Xavier wrote:I had to Drag-n-Drop the log file into the open window in the DataViewer to get it to show up. Try that, let me know if it works.
I placed Claudes log file into the log folder and it did not appear in the "Open..." dialog window, even though it was in the same folder with the other default logs, which do show. What I had said is I needed to actually open an Explorer window and navigate to that log folder and then drag-n-drop the log file into the "Open..." dialog window for the DataViewer to finally see the file.
EDIT: I figured out why my logs weren't showing up. Apparently when the DataViewer is installed it not only creates a log folder in the program directory it creates the same redundant folder in the My Documents directory which is where it is pointing to when using the "Open" command.
