No, didn't try that. Don't think that would solve the problem but it's sitting at the dealership now after getting it towed this morning.

very similar problem...

06 mustang GT
Diablosport CL7140. (purchased from CnL)
CnL Street CAI with CnL 91 Oct Performance tune.
Followed all diablosport instructions, step by step.
tune seemingly installed correctly and easily.
had radio disconnected while installing tune. (no other electronic devices active during tune)
disconnected predator, car wouldnt start.
dash reads 'odo data error' as well as 'check charging system'
i inspected all relevant fuses, all are fine.
tried disconnecting battery for 5 minutes....
nothing, car wont start.

at this point i was ready to restore the factory tune, which was succesfully backed up...
but the connection between the mustang computer and diablosport seems broken.
i get a message on the diablosport saying 'cannot read vehicle id' or something along those lines. im not with my car at the moment, so i cant get exact wording. but its basically saying its unable to communicate.
im unable to access most of the troubleshooting options, resulting back to the same message about being unable to locate the vehicle.
i am very sad without my car and im just looking for the best solution.
any help is very much appreciated...
thank you

The dealer had to re-program the computer manually because it wasn't accepting the vin. I was without my car for over a week so I sympathize with you. Might have to have the dealer fix it.. and it's not cheap.

thanks OneCoolGT

im now in a similar situation with the dealer, and it is nowhere near cheap.
they are telling me the computer needs to be completely replaced.
my question for you is, did you dare try the diablosport again after ford fixed your computer?
i was able to restore the factory tune with the 'password' from a diablosport tech over the phone. he told me to unplug the battery for 10 mins (which i had already done previously) and all would be well....nope, car wont even crank.
so then i called AAA for a tow.
i have 5 to 10 days before i get my car back and im trying to decide if i should even consider the diablosport after i get it back. leaning towards no.
curious to know how you got your tune done the second time around.
thanks

Sounds like Diablo needs to man up for these issues and pay for the shop time and programming at the dealerships. It's kind of suspect that computers are being fried after loading the latest revision. I've need an updated tune for the last two years for my long tube headers for my 2007 but read all of the horror stories of peoples problems. Has anyone got a full responce from Diablo on weather or not they are going to take care of these issues or compensate for the losses?

When I had my car towed to the dealership, the tech (who tunes cars) told me that these tuners are bad news for the 2005+ 'Stangs. Thankfully the computer wasn't fried but needed to be re-programmed. I didn't attempt using it again, I chose to send it back for a full refund. If I do chose to change the tune in the future, I will send it out to a pro to do it... I just think the computers in these cars are too sensitive to adjustments and shouldn't be messed with.

I never contacted diablo about the issue because according to the disclaimer you're pretty much responsible for whatever happens if the tuner screws anything up...

Hope you get your car back soon!
