I just installed my Predator and WOW this thing is an animal, I had it on Extreme, I have since put the Performance tune in and I can feel the difference still. I can't wait to get my trans done so I can turn it back up. I have a plan of attack to get all the supporting mods after the new tranny. I could feel me driving through the converter so I backed off and put the lower tune in it. I really like the Predator.

duallydave wrote:the 48re will suport 500hp but it will cost you alot of money to get it there, billet shafts, valvebody, etc etc.sure they will take the power but the guts need to be replaced with stroger stuff, its the tourque that kills them.do u have a tranny temp gauge,if so u may be ok on the performance tune if u dont hotord to much.
so 500 RWHP or 500 hp?

Well I am changing my tune so to speak. I was running the rkl extreme and thought if I drove nice it would be ok. I don't think that anymore. I was feeling strange tranny things so I went back to perf tune. I think that even driving like an old lady those rkl tunes will tear stuff up, when I merg and pick up speed fast I see the trans temps climb very quickly. So until I can afford to get a good trans it is going to stay this way. I guess they ment it when it say "these tunes will deteriate stock trans post haste."

that is nice to hear. I am sick of hearing how bad they are. mine has 120,000 miles, still if fine, just don't want it to break anytime soon. Hopefully the economy will be good again before I need to do something with it.
