It really is no difference, i didn't get any better mileage with 33" tires on. I have been have trouble with the dpf-r kit, i think the truck is still going into regen a little(getting that looked at this next week). I'm going to do a good amount of driving this weekend unloaded, so i'll see how that goes. I really think the crappy mileage has to do with the turbo running so high, had the truck at the dealer 2 weeks ago or so, they could not find a problem. Not to sure what else to do, maybe put the stock air kit back in????? I don't know what it could be......
Thanks for the custom tune Don,I installed it last night.
I tried the performance tune first and i liked it, but no cruise. Tried the economy custom and it has cruise but the turbo boost does seem to run high. Will have to run a tank through(which could take a while due to being laid-off)to get the milage numbers.
Just to mention that I was getting 15.5 mpg(15l/100km) on the 8r tune before Ford reflashed. This was driving like grandpa mostly highway.
Also my stock truck was in regen at one point constantly till I put it back to stock and no regen. Tried the performance tune again and bang, regen. This was using the performance tune 80hp 9r.
I had been using the tow tune with no improvement in fuel economy and regenerating about twice every tank. Regen absolutely kills mileage!
Please keep trying Don, we know you can get 'er

joestroo Have you had the egr valve replaced????? I am on my third one, I had ford tell me that it was fine ..... I removed it
myself ,and it was stuck in postion. was running 20psi @ 75 mph before i changed it, now i run no more then 10 psi
running the same speed... I am running newest extreme tune from Don.. Milage after two tanks of fuel is showing
about 16.3 mpg. Thats up from stock at 14.1 . I couldnt imagine the economy tune getting less milage!!

ah finally some good news pic and thanks for the input on the high psi problem. I was beating my head against the table trying to see if there is anything i did. Boost is not touched in the tunes until high rpm. Economy and tow just have limiters removed but no added boost. Frankly i've made all the tunes have the same timing tables to help mileage out. This family just will NOT take timing, its already pretty high from the factory and im noticing if we go double digits, you start to buck. Normally the extreme wouldnt get similar mileage to the economy and tow but since everyone wants mileage on the extreme, i delivered. It will get the same mileage as the economy and tow AS LONG AS YOUR FOOT STAYS OUT OF IT. I can't stress that enough, with high fuel on the top end and not to mention another 10lbs of boost, your mileage will go down hill reallllllllllll fast. Im going to experiment alittle further with the adder tables for timing and leave the base table alone. We'll see if we can't get this thing to come up alittle further. These trucks deff have some serious flucations in mileage though, pic gets 16...and NJK get 12.5.

I drive a mix of highway and city, but mostly city and I'm getting 12.5mpg.
If I drive all highway, I've seen 14mpg at best.
This is all with the Extreme tune and all is more than stock mpg.
Filling up in about an hour. Will have a new mpg number for you soon for the latest Extreme tune Don sent me that eliminated the bucking problem.
