I still find it sad that its people like you who stick up for them when they still did not comment back. It is not our duty to fix the issue. Thats why we paid diablo 400 to do these things for us. If that was the case are they paying us to figure out the problem. I didnt think so. And as far as asking for a free tune I did no such thing. I did however ask for a custom tune Id be more then happy to pay if it would be right. But for right now I have a $400 piece of plastic that is hurting my truck not helping it. So I really wish comments like yours could help this situation but it does not. You did nothing but make excuses for the company which is sad to say better then the excuses they came up with. Maybe you should get a job with them you seem about as helpful if not more.09Laramie wrote:the quality and content of the feedback are just as important, if not more important, than the quantity of feedback. This issue is obviously not a simple one, so it shouldn't be much of a surprise to learn that the basic feedback of "The truck shakes when I do this" that most of us end users (myself included) can provide is not sufficient to find and fix the problem. Taking the truck in to a transmission specialty shop, or at least some place with the appropriate tools and expertise to properly diagnose transmission problems (like Majefski is doing) will likely produce much better feedback, and hopefully shed some light on what needs to be done to fix the problem.blazingzz wrote:With no feedback at all how about looking back at ten pages worth of feedback... Thats a pretty crappy excuse when there is ten pages to back it up. As far as holidays Id like to get the holiday time you guys do I think the last post from someone from diablo on the forum related to this topic is on dec 14th.... so who is the one not doing a good job with feedback.mikel wrote:Johan has tried adjusing everything that can be adjusted to work this out, with no positive results, or no feedback at all, so we are running out of ideas.
What I would like to know is can we get a refund since there seems to be no fix in the near future.
Continually whining that DS won't write you a custom tune exactly the way you want it, exactly when you want it, and for free, is less than helpful. If you go back and read through this thread, you might notice a correlation between the level of effort and understanding from users, and the responsiveness of the staff to that user. I know I sure wouldn't want to put forth any extra effort to help someone that kept telling me that I was doing a bad job. And criticizing people for taking vacation during the winter holiday season is ridiculous. You do realize that it's people, not HAL, that work for DS, right?

I mean how long has this complaint been going on... There is no trucks around that could be used to fix this issue. Where are the trucks that the tune came off of. Was these tunes even tested on a truck at all before being released. I myself even asked if there are any local shops that they trust around my way I would take it to. They said no. So try reading back some posts yourself because there are plenty willing to help but time and patience is running very low.

a likely answer was offered:
Majefski wrote:This is exactly what I was saying in an earlier post. I'm certain that the problem started after my last visit to the dealership when they re-flashed due to recalls. I didn't have the issue before this.sbarbs wrote:Bonza any more info on the tranny problem?? Ive been on other websites and am finding other guys with the same issue. Some of them are all stock as well. So it seems to be a factory tuning/mechanical issue. Please let us know!
1. I deprogrammed for the service.
2. They re-flashed my truck for some recalls.
3. I reprogrammed and within a few days felt the issue especially when towing a few thousand pounds. Contrast this with towing 8500 pounds with no issues (fully programmed with 93 oct program) before the dealership re-flash some months ago.
4. I deprogrammed and still felt the issue (fully stock) when rolling at around 50 and then going WOT.
I suspect this is why none of the troubleshooting from DS has had any fruition. DS, Do you guys see any tickets called in or have anything on the forums from before Aug 2010 regarding this issue? I suspect not.
I'm a third-level Tech Support supervisor in charge of 5 people and 2000 users. Troubleshooting and trending issues is what I do. If I was the only one experiencing this, then I would suspect that it was just my truck and it needed something fixed on it. But what I'm seeing (and it looks like Sbarbs is too) is that other people are having this issue even while running totally stock.
So to me 2+2=4, where one 2= issues with multiple trucks even when running stock, the other 2= no amount of troubleshooting from DS can fix the issue. 4= somethings wrong with the factory programming and DS is forced to build a performance program on a flawed foundation.
I'm calling Dodge today and ask them about the last flash they did and what could be the issue with the trans. I'll let you guys know what they say.

if a factory tuning update is flawed, Diablo can't fix that, and it's not their fault the trannies are screwing up..
Dodge corporate is going to have to fix the issue.

Ok, let's all take a step back for a minute.
Like I stated before... I have 5 people to support 2000 users. Of these 2000 users, we occasionally run across one that's willing to actually cooperate with the troubleshooting of their particular issue. When we find these people, we let them help. Not because of their expertise, but because stepping back for a minute and listening to them to get the big picture and determine how big a problem this really is, is a very important step here. The users will help tremendously with the troubleshooting by simply calling in tickets and giving us info that we can then trend.
Now imaging you're the DS team. You are watching this thread among possibly hundreds or thousands of other threads. You can't be everywhere at once. You also can't troubleshoot every make and model of vehicle ever made in one day, nor can you have a fleet of vehicles (of every make and model supported) waiting in the parking lot for you to troubleshoot them. We're all performance oriented and intelligent people here, so let's help out where we can.

Holidays and ICY roads conditions are also causing delays here. For me Diablo did their part in debugging the problem at this moment.
When the local roads are ice free a local tranny shop is going to monitor my transmission to see what the computer input is and what the tranny is doing when the shaking starts.
The only new debug information I have so far is that when running the stock factory programming (no diablo installed) with a line pressure booster installed causes the same shaking problems when going WOT at 40-60mph.
One option that the tranny shop speculated as a possible shaking cause was that the 4C clutch solenoid was releasing the clutch pressure to slow, causing the second prime to second shift to fail as both 2C and 4C cutch plates where momentarily active at the same time. This behavior should get worst with cold transmission oil or a higher line pressure. (and exactly seem to match my problems).
I am waiting for the transmission test and keep driving it like I stole it with the tune installed (since the oil was perfectly clean during the first transmission test)

Well hopefully some fix comes soon for this issue. I like to visit the forums for info, but hate when people start bickering over issues, its a big turn off. Im on Dodgetalk and the same crap constantly happens. Anyway, I hope this issue gets resolved soon so I can actually use my Diablo and get some performance back in this truck! I'm very hesitant to run it with the trans shaking the hell out of me. I don't think chrysler will warranty anything on my truck with all the mods I've done.

Yea that sucks once you get to many mods. I dont mind waiting if someone answers but once you go about two weeks without a responce you get irritated. It seams as if the only way you get help sometimes is if you stir the pot. For now my truck is going back to stock. If the issue is still there mine will be going to the dealer for them to figure out as long as it is a factory issue. Thanks for everyones support with this.

yeah, some times stuff gets ignored unless you stand up and say "Hey!".blazingzz wrote: I dont mind waiting if someone answers but once you go about two weeks without a responce you get irritated. It seams as if the only way you get help sometimes is if you stir the pot.
but, as Majefski said, sometimes it is hard to keep track of everything.

if it is a factory issue, fixing the factory issue should fix the Diablo tuning issue.

I have a 2010 Dodge Ram and a Diablo Sport Predator that I purchased for it. I have not been able to use it for fear of damaging my transmission...
Tranny is fine with the factory tune... load a diablo tune - tranny shudders like hell!!... Load the original factory tune back into the vehicle, and tranny shifts smooth as silk.
So yeah, DIABLO IS THE PROBLEM AND NOT THE FACTORY TUNE!!!!!!
Or maybe the guys at Diablo sport AREN'T really concerned about their customers satisfaction with this product and are content with TAKING HARD EARNED CASH IN RETURN FOR A PRODUCT I CAN'T USE BECAUSE ITS DEFECTIVE!!!!!
Please do not try to console and tell me there is no problem with this product, because a tune that makes my transmission SHAKE LIKE B****! is not a desired outcome.
Maybe that should have been in the product description: "THE NEW DIABLO SPORT PREDATOR WILL MAKE YOUR TRUCK SHAKE LIKE A CRACK ADDICT IN DETOX! ENJOY!!"
IF YOU STRIVE FOR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, PROOVE IT!!!
I AM COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED WITH THIS $400 HUNK OF PLASTIC THAT I CAN'T USE AND YOU HAVE TAKEN LITTLE OR NO ACTION TO FIX.
GET YOUR HEADS SCREWED ON STRAIGHT AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
