This thread died. No answers for us. Does anyone know if the Superchips guys are having this problem? If not, bye bye Diablo, hello Superchips. This is a real expensive decoration on my shop bench.

I dont get it. These programmers are designed to improve performance. You can't simply tune an engine for increased power and not have an ability to adjust trans parameters. I dont' care how powerful the engine is if you cant put the power through the trans properly. I would think diablo would have an expert in transmission performance and diagnostics helping them design these tuners. It only seems logical. The engine and trans together are what will yield total performance, not just the engine.

You would think....

We have guys who are currently employed as trans calibrators at Dodge, who have CMR as well, that are lost on how to control these transmissions.
It is a black art. Now, if we're talking Ford or GM trannies, well, no problem.
This Dodge stuff, which is carried over from MBs rule, is not as friendly.

Maybe they could offer to buy back these "blue plastic decorations"?
That would be a crazy idea right? Product that doesn't work right? Money back for such an item? Silly idea!
I imagine they would cringe at such an idea. Customer satisfaction isn't worth that kind of drastic measure. Or is it?
I'm sure they already have an answer for me... "Its your truck, not our product"... Oh, yeah.. Mikel did just say that in an indirect way in his last reply.

Guess I'll hang it on my Christmas tree next year.

hmmm..... a dodge engineer who doesnt know how to calibrate dodge transmissions. I will ask a question that wasnt answered in my previous post, will Diablosport refund me for the purchase of of my tuner? You basically told us Mike that Diablosport made a product that they don't have full control over and can't calibrate properly. That is grounds for a FULL refund, and I would like one.

It works fine.
It adjusts everything it is claimed to adjust, I dont see the problem.

Im referring to recalibrating things in the transmission that were traditionally no problem, have now become a very tough task.

There is still a problem when at wot the tuner is not doing what it should it is tearing up the transmissions. I do not want a refund I will wait around for a fix that i am hoping will happen sometime soon. I do belive that anyone who wants a refund that is having this issue should be refunded though.

Mike when will you guys be working on a fix for this. I have a feeling that nothing is happening right now so I would at least like some kind of time frame when you will be trying.

Today finally I did have a similar issue stock. When the truck was in mds I punched it about 50 mph and the truck shuddered a little bit and finally downshifted. I called my dealership and they supposedly contacted dodge directly and they told them that this is normal for the truck when in mds because it takes time for the truck to completely come out of mds. It has to build compression in the cylinders before full power is applied to the engine or something like that. Does this sound like something that may help you. Maybe the mds isnt completely being knocked out. Maybe the truck is acting as if it is in it and not letting the power fully apply to the driveline.

"Fine" Well fine in my book means it doesnt quite work well! If you are saying that you are having a tough time controlling the transmission, that tells me you don' t have the ability to properly tune this truck. I guess if I owned a ford or chevy it wouldnt be a problem. But you are saying owning an 09 Dodge is tough to calibrate. If you are having a tough time calibrating a product you created for this truck how am I suppossed to trust it? Please how do I go about getting a refund. A question for the third time you still wont answer. I guess that means you won't, and that sucks.

Superchips tuning has the same issue as well, it might be dodge factory tuning related and it may not be, just remember the grass isn't always greener on the other side, good chances that you wanting to get rid of one issue may result in gaining many more issues.

And as Mike said Dodge really made the programming a bitch to perfect over the Fords and Chevys, its always been the case with dodge and tuning its more like mixing oil and water together

Well oil and water dont mix. So I'd rather not use the product then in fear of ruining my new truck. I still would like a refund and that has not been offered yet. Thats what bothers me the most. They seem to keep dodging that question. I'm not satisfied with the product as it has constantly had many issues, many of which don't seemed to get fixed. I still as with many others get knock also. After repeated attempts and updates, it doesn't seem to get better. I don't like some have hours of time to upload, download, wait for new updates etc. I have a wife, 2 kids, and a business to run. So until this things works properly, I would like the nearly $400 dollars back in my pocket.

I agree with sbarbs post. They SHOULD refund our money for a product that DOESN'T work properly. Sad truth is though, they have your money, you have an inferior piece of blue plastic. I really doubt they have enough integrity to own up to the problem and refund anyones money. I am pretty sure they really don't care at all.
